Ok, got to admit that the F3 is a cracking looking bike though. Not heard of a cam chain tensioner problem on the MV forum. I might be a bit wary myself.
Well, after 4 weeks of wishing my life to hurry up I finally hit the dead line today, the new cam chain adjuster did not cure the problem on this 370 mile old bike so its an engine out job :-( . That's me out and it would seem I have missed summer ( deposit to be refunded) . After several weeks of lingering around the mv forums with time on my hands I have decided to chill out and go back to my original plan of getting a panigale . I just need to dicide now weather to stick to my origamanl plan and buy an 899 or include the 1199 abs model in my options.
There are some really smart 899's for sale at the mo with super low miles but they seem to have crept back over the 10k mark, they were £9500 6 months ago. Even so it's a lot of bike for the money!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
To be honest mate I had my reservations 2 weeks ago, 370 miles with a cam chain rattle ? I am sort of relieved and pissed at the same time. Although at this moment in time yes I may have had a lucky escape, 10k on a bike with maybe no manufactures support has got to the better side of my common sense. Although if the bike had been ready I was still looking forward to my trip out tomorrow ( in the rain) and would of probably been chuffed to bits .
Hi Phill , you where there at the start of my thread and I think it was a bike you maybe thought about before your 899. I have my 848 evo and my multi still in the garage ( my 989r brutale is sold) so I need to relax now and not rush into things. There are a few 1199's about that seem good value but i swore after selling my k8 1000 gsxr a litre bike is to much for the road . Is the 1199 the same riding position as the 899 or is it less or more cramped ?
Finally time to put this thread to bed, from looking at my original post date its been a while but hear it is. Not quiet an mv but its a nice bit of kit . Arrived yesterday.
