I think Dovi was annoyed after the soft front tyre cried enough and then the team had put an inter rear on his second bike. I think Gorgeous George wasn't feeling it and didn't want to be out there. If that was the case I don't think it bodes well for next year.
No issue with what cal said more of an issue with lorenzo and dovis behaviour tbh. Shitehousery at its finest. Cal was only taking the piss ffs. Fantastic days racing though, best Sunday of the season imo. Well done john mcphast for proving me (and a lot of others id imagine) very wrong too.
Well put 100% agree .Cal deserved his win, he is definitely a character , would be a good bet for a podium at silverstone if the weather is bad.
A mate sent me that picture last night saying it was Dovizioso's tyre, it would certainly explain why he didn't want to go back out after pitting. Iannone's looked to have lost mostly its centre when watching on TV. If it was Iannone's, I don't think he'd have got round one corner, never mind a couple of laps with that tyre. If it's genuine and not Photoshoppery then that's amazing.
OK, well I have an opinion on your opinion........You don't have the 1st idea what you are talking about, move along, you're talking shite (as usual) you boring blert.
[emoji162] Watched Moto3 and Moto 2, then went to a wedding and tried to avoid all alerts/twitter/news/texts and successfully watched the GP when we got in at 0030. Mega race and glad I stayed up. Regardless of riders throwing strops, it simply wasn't wet enough for anything other than wet tyres (until a handful of laps to go). Maybe if Dovi had have looked over and seen new soft wets, he'd had gone straight out but he didn't. As for JLo, we now know, could have finished well on those tyres. His crew knew he was knocking out top lap times with the hard rear when he came in but in reality his head was gone. He needs to go and sit somewhere and have a long hard think about how he can adapt to these tyres. We always say that great riders can go away and change their style to suit changes, he seems unwilling to even try. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
When Lorenzo's head goes, it really goes. He rode well in some wet races last year, this year he's got himself beaten before the lights go out.
The best thing for me about yesterday for cal was that even if he doesn’t ever win another race again, the photo of the podium will have him on the top and rossi and marquez either side of him. You couldn’t say “I beat the best” any better could you.
Say what you like about Cal but he always seems to be having a laugh and taking the piss, he's just got that stern, dry nature that means some don't see it. The riders all get to see him off track and I can't think of a single rider that doesn't like him and they all say he's one of the funniest in the paddock. Maybe his on-screen persona is his way of keeping the media spotlight off him and his family when off track. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I wonder what Ducati are making of this Lorenzo situation. I'm also happy for Iannone in that he seems to be keeping it sunny side up. He's bloody quick as well.
The commentators said they heard a rumour that Lorenzo was going to one of these wet tracks, i think with Metzler tyres to try and improve his wet weather riding. Reports are unconfirmed but if true would mean Lorenzo is trying to make an effort to turn his wet weather riding around.
Right........I've had to delete an abusive post (and associated posts) and warn a member about their behaviour. This stops now. Thank you.
Cheers, that is amazing then. I'd have given him joint 1st place just for getting round on that. I do think he should have been black flagged for his own safety though, the consequences of that going pop are unthinkable. I know this pic only came out afterwards, but with a couple of laps to go, it was clear to see on the TV that the centre of the tyre had dissapeared. :Nailbiting:
They did say that and I thought it entirely the correct thing for Lorenzo to do, work on his weaknesses. In the race, he had worked himself into the points, then seemed to have a brain burp and decided he wanted to play the hokey-kokey in the pits. It's easy to say from the comfort of my armchair, and I don't know the full picture with the bike, but he should have just taken the points on offer and moved along imo.
Camping Fri-Mon at Silverstone. The British racer in me wants to see Redding storm it in the wet but the tent dweller in me wants it to be beautiful and sunny!
