Non slip cover for pillion seat ..... found that even the Venture grab bar wasn't confidence inspiring for passengers so got one of these from Triboseat non slip passenger seat cover .... yes its just the common shelf liner type stuff but very well finished and edged underneath with drawstring to get a tight neat fit ... seems to work too and doesn't look "home made"
A Manx Norton oil tank to replace the damaged one on my old Triton.Progress is very slow on getting my old bike up and running but I do a little bit more to it now and again.Lots to do and learn.
It's a really good battery but it doesn't appreciate the cold. Unwilling to give that bit extra punch in winter. I've fitted one to my 1098R and one to my 853 track bike. Don't forget to register your battery on their web site to activate the warranty. Andy
How do you find it Andy, I keep toying wit the idea of putting one on my 1198s, if is does go flat can you still "jump" the bike with another battery?
I ordered a cover from Specialised Covers. Waiting for it to arrive. Then I'll find out if it is any good. If so, I might order another one. Bike Covers from Specialised Covers
Yes good man will do . Seems that the lithiums don't like the cold but I believe that you can warm them by turning on the ignition and l
I think Halfords was around £80/90. I got a Teng locally for £55. 40 to I think 200N. I know people rave about snap on, but they are very expensive. Hopefully the Teng will be OK. I have the Halfords socket sets and never had any bother with them. But to be fair I don't use them everyday like a mechanic would.
I've not got the halfords torque wrenches but will be buying them eventually. Had the large socket set for more than 15 years with no issues. They do replace with no issue evidently due to the life time guarantee.
The shop has 2 smaller ones, Teng type, they were around £65 each. I will get them at some point. I needed one for the rear wheel. 180 the nut needs, so I wanted to be sure I wasnt guessing by feel alone. I know a lot of you will probably know by feel through experience, but as you say, most have torque settings much lower. Halfords didn't have a 36mm socket when I looked locally.
Got a new Monster 1200 R so I've been shopping. R&G paddock stand + pin R&G exhaust hanger + blanking plate Ventureshield tank kit (from BodyGuardUK - They were excellent) Evotech tail tidy Optimate adaptor TM to SAE - when did these change?! Termignoni when I get the £1300 ready.
Did you trade the Tuono Matt? Had a change of heart? What's the R like? Quite fancy one but big bucks
