  1. Your always welcome here you don't need to go
They still let me in so you should be ok ;)
    You will soon be back

  2. Maybe they are all bored? Or boring? :grinning:

  3. I'm sticking with this forum, only one where some actual conversation and meet ups happen. All others seem purely there for fault finding.

  4. the end can does it go straight on without mapping etc ?

  5. @paulfastbikes yes, fits straight on with no mapping required.
Looks way cooler than the Twin Tips especially with a matching carbon front mudguard ;)

  6. I had the same feeling on the DVT, following the 1200S 2012 i had it just felt a little flat and flabby.

The s1000xr.uk (red one) is probably the more British based of the two i think, to be honest theres some decent lads on both forums but as you say theres less daily banter, and a lot less complaining about the bikes in truth.

I still come on here but thats just because I've had more Ducati's than anything so kinda feels homely.... you can't get rid of me that easily.

besides, just wait until the full impact of Brexit is felt..... that thread will run and run :)

  7. Ducati flaws or not, this is a cracking forum!

  9. Suspenders..........

She gave me back the special underwear yesterday (Ohlins Suspenders SCU).
So she’s back in ordinary undies, to be honest you can’t tell just by looking at her. But I’m sure that men of the world like you chaps know that feeling you get when you are out knowing she’s got something special on underneath “just for you”.
A nice chap called @big_kitch got in touch and he wants them for his darling.
With a little help from our mutual pal called Pay (you might even know him yourself, everybody seems to nowadays) he sent me some money.
They are all boxed up back in the shiny gift wrapping so if us chaps keep it between ourselves his darling need never know they’ve been ahem “previously enjoyed”.
I took the precaution of putting the shiny box in a plain brown padded envelope because well you just never know, Postman Pat might not be as broadminded about these things as us fellows (or @Ducbird of course).
Now there is something else you need to know when they arrive big_kitch.
It’s the work of a moment to slip her into them but there’s quite a bit of fumbling around before you release the secrets within. I’m sure you know which of her buttons to press though nudge, nudge.
But when you do phwoaaar it’s worth it!
It might even re-invigorate your relationship ‘cos you find you can go in deeper and harder, just don’t blame me if your mates start noticing she’s got a bit of a new spring in her step.
Must admit the old heart skipped a bit when we briefly touched while I was helping her out of them, just for a second there I thought about getting jiggy with her one last time for old time’s sake.
    No that would be disrespectful!
Don’t want her feeling like she’s just been used and discarded.
In the words of a song “Breaking up is hard to do”
    Anyway – things to do.

    Be in touch :upyeah:

  10. Moving on..............

Well ze German is moving in on Friday, except she’s not actually moving in straight away.
We’re going straight off for a week together to one of the best “dirty weekend” destinations I can think of for a chap and his new squeeze, the Isle of Man!
To be honest it was originally booked for me and Mutley, but there was no way I was going to cancel and it’ll be a great opportunity to spend time really getting to know one another.
You know what it’s like in the early stages of a new relationship – initially you are so enamoured that she “goes like the clappers” that you can’t leave her alone.
Then as you spend more time in one another’s company you start to notice the annoying little habits.
Let’s just hope she doesn’t squeeze the toothpaste from the wrong end! :Arghh:
She’s going to be wearing her holiday clothes (panniers). I’ve never had one with special holiday clothes before, they’ve always been like me - just cram some stuff in a bag and off you go!
Between you and me (and please don't tell her I said so) they make her look like she’s got a bit of a fat ar5e, so as soon as we get home I’ll make sure she changes back into her normal stuff.
And it’ll be a great opportunity to see how she mixes with my real life human friends - yes, amazing isn’t it I’ve actually got some as opposed to all you virtual interweb chums (splendid lot that you are though).
I wonder, will ze German be like Mutley was? The life and soul of the party, always wanting to be at the front swooping through the bends singing “come on you lot keep up!” She certainly seemed like it on our previous dates.
At least I know she won’t be like her cousin GS plodding along at the back out of breath ‘cos she’s carrying a bit of excess lard.

Well I’ve been really enjoying our little chats, they are quite cathartic while I go through the trauma of this break up.
But please do tell me if I’m coming across as a bit needy and you know annoying.
It’s just you’ve all been so sympathetic so far especially old @El Toro.
As you know her suspenders have gone as has her gorgeous Termi stubby and dainty little chainguard too.
Still the chance for some other trinkets to dress up your lovelies though!
Ducati Performance carbon front mudguard £50
    Givi tinted screen £40
M-Style CNC flip up levers £25

    Keep you posted :upyeah:

  14. Got distracted there for a minute...

Back off-topic.... @pl2112 did you end up trading in or sold private?
Dealer offered me 3K for my 998, only done 8K... Was well put out with that offer. Will sell private me thinks

  15. The wife has just suggested I go and try the XR and possibly buy it, despite her new bike ban due to a house extension. Woohoo!

  16. Sounds like a keeper there JH :upyeah:

  17. p.s. I'm talking about the Mrs :)

  18. @JH_1986 Ha ha my missus said "bloody hell I never thought I'd see the day that you bought a BMW!"
It's fair to say I have been rather scathing about them in the past especially the ones with the funny sticky out bits on the side.
So even though I'm going over to the dark side I will not do any of the following
    Wear a flip up helmet
    Wear a reflective diagonal sash
Wear a twattish vest that says POLITE on it
    Talk about "making progress"

  19. Well, I guess that's progress, of a kind ;-)

Although there's 'making progress' and 'MAKING PROGRESS' and once you've ridden with some olde gitte on a BMW who falls into the latter category, you'll really appreciate why you don't need a sports bike.
