  1. Anyone booked on this? I'm up there for the evening sessions..

  2. Let us know how you get on with noise testing - aren't they 1db lower in the evening?

  3. Not as far as I know

I'm on standard pipes anyways mate

  4. I'll be there on the 939SP assuming weather is good.

  6. Nice one.

If you see me, come say hello.

  7. Anyone got any recommendations on tyre pressures for the standard rosso corsas for track ?

Last time out I only knocked a few psi out and tore them to pieces.

30/30 seems to be a common result? Cold I'm assuming

  8. If the same tyre guy supports the Brands day as Mallory yesterday, he puts a board out with typical pressures for a range of makes. I have Metzeler Racetechs and ran 30R/33F hot. Front was fine but I was thinking about letting a pound or two out of the rear. The first session the track was damp but it dried by the third session. Rear began to look like it was suffering from cold tear on the left side of the tyre but given that the Edwina's and the bus stop chicanes are the only left hand bends (ha, ha) at Mallory, it isn't a surprise. 9. Cheers, as I said last time I destroyed a rear with cold tear which I know was from the pressures being off. However I have a sneaking suspicion that the suspension settings didn't help.

    I left them as standard.

  10. They'll have a tyre inflator there I take it?

    You on the 899 advikaz?

  11. Only track day I've ever been to where someone was happy to check and adjust your tyre pressures was at Almeria. Never been to a UK track day where you got anything for free. Part of my preparation routine is to put 40psi in my tyres before we leave and then adjust at the track for the first couple of sessions. A bicycle track pump lets me do fine adjustment thereafter. 12. No idea mate, I'm just going to set them as 30/30 and go from there. See how I go.

    I certainly will be mate

  13. No pump but I'm sure someone will lend you one.

  14. What a great evening ! Would thoroughly recommend no limits, they ran it brilliantly.

I held my own in the fast group, still had the really fast lads flying past but there was only a few of them. Started off posting 56-57 laps and by the third session id managed consistent sub 54's on my standard 899.

I've no idea whether that's good or not, but someone said anything less than a minute is okay and less than 55 is pretty alright..

  16. Thanks mate. There was another guy on an 899 who used to race years ago apparently. His was also completely standard and he was a lot quicker than me. So shows there's still more in the tank for the bike. But I like to keep some in reserve as I don't fancy shunting my baby haha.

It was a great evening. Will definetely do another !
