  1. Yip yip - theyre on. Bought them from a lad over in the U.S. Got financially raped by the Post Office for tax. Not really that hard to fit if anyone has a pop at it, whip the tank of (easier said than done) - pull the airbox and bolt the 4 filters on. Just for the record I found the model numbers of the 2 smaller air filters (RU-3170 and RU-3630) if you could find the model of the larger 2 (theyre the same) youd literally need a bit of alloy to make the spacer to go onto the TB boots....anyway - to the pics....

Now, after you've pulled the airbox out you effectively remove the mount points for a few things...ie the front radmount and coil and the rear coil as they both hang on to the airbox. So, the front one is now bolted by one bolt to where the fixing for the airbox was underneath at the front. IMG_20160823_202249.jpg
And the rear coil mounted to one of the airbox mount points that the airbox just pushed into....now the airbox has gone theres loads of room under there....yey. Theres the rear...bit difficult to see the mount point but its there...I keep masses of random stainless bolts, nuts and washers so ive always got something that I can use...

The rad guard was left floating in no mans land at the top so ive used a tie wrap and taken it round the regulator and just used the end of another tie wrap, clipped it to hold the other end - as the holes are just the right size to pass the tie wrap through - quite pleased with that I was!

And there they are tucked away waiting to suck in random bits of small wildlife etc etc....I spoke to Chris at CJS to see if I should be using it with out the back wheel connecting with his dyno to which he said "you should be ok as long as you don't hold it open at the top end..." so I couldn't resist but give it a go to work this morning....what a noise...lovely - Theres a slight bit of overrun but that's probably where it needs to go on the dyno... Next thing is to get it to Chris...just waiting to hear back now...then, finally that should be it for the dyno work...slipper clutch next...

  2. Oh just to add to this the K&N from the standard airbox will be going in the for sale area....I daren't advertise it here as ill incur the wrath of E.T.

  3. You'll need it at up again as the air mix will be different

  4. Yep- I know its running a bit lean - but couldn't wait to hear the noise so I had to ride it to work this morning....ironically when I was chatting to Rich at Louigi this morning he said "i saw you going the other way!" small world....im curious though as to know how much more air is being gulped in through the K&N's as to the stock airbox...is it a little more or "a load more!"??

  5. You must pay for Chris's holiday each year!

  6. Yeah - I keep vowing to "never see him again" ironically when I had it done last I thought "ill never find another set of second hand stacks again..." - this time hes giving me a discount!!

  7. One of the upsides of a Pc5 over direct tune

  8. Yep but you won't get the red line increase o2 sensor removal and flapper valve removal though...

  9. yeah you can, just a question of the right map, and either having a fatduc type thing or ignoring the light

  10. Well... I'd rather have the whole shooting match in one box and less wiring... This'll be it this time... Unless a set of lumpy cams pops up!

  11. Does the Slipper get rid of the rubber 'cush drive' for want of a better phrase in the clutch ?

Or is that only on the 1100/1100s ?

  12. dunno yet - I'm gonna get my lesson in slipper clutch maintenance and upkeep on the 3rd of next month....however Ive nipped the fuel seal on the line from the pump so I lost a bit of fuel to and from work....in true ducati style I cant buy the oring but the whole end section - not the end of the world on price (about 9 quid) but more than a couple of pence for an o ring....

  13. I'm guessing that sounds fantastic - wish i could do the same to my 999. The induction roar is really stifled... :/

  14. Nice.....

Have you got a pic of what's in your slipper setup ?

  15. Did he hear you before he saw you I wonder???

  16. Yip = amazing. As I say on my last hyper (1100evo) I got the stacks, had it dyno'd (on the Saturday) and then sold it the following Thursday...aiming to rectify that now...just ordered some more goodies....

  17. Dunno I didn't see 'I'm!!!

  18. I ran mine with one of the DP ECU's. Can't remember details offhand but it was the one that sat between underseat Termis ECU and the one that came with the lumpy cams. Had it on the dyno and the fuelling was spot on right up to 7500 and then leaned out ever so slightly (Ducshop stacks & K&Ns, Zard downpipes and twin Termis). Felt and sounded great. PCV & Autotune fitted when the long range tank went on and felt better again, much smoother low down. Will be interesting to see what happens to the fuelling when the LRT comes off and the stacks and large K&Ns go back on... You addicted to that intake roar yet?
