+ 1 for teng torque wrenches. I bought 3 of them last year cheap because they were having a summer sale. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
These little Ti beauties for the rear socket & flange. The race team got them for me and hopefully put the bill through the work's account. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes, I believe the recommendation is to place a load on them to warm them up before trying to start the engine in cold conditions, putting the lights on for a bit should do it. Seems counter intuitive doesn't it?
I did mate - the Tuono had reached the end of its warranty period and I was tired of dealing with Aprilia/Piaggio-UK's shit! Great bike though. I wanted to get back on a Ducati, there's still something special about them that I can't put my finger on, but I love owning them. The 1200R is certainly nice. Not as fast as the Tuono, less sportsbike and more street focussed, and that works for me as I don't ride on track. Plus the quality of the parts; Ohlins, Brembo, Marchesini with powder coated/anodised everything is lovely. The Tuono was naked aluminium/alloy everywhere and it just didn't look as nice. I'm so shallow. EDIT - Oh, @Pavey - wish I didn't sell you that single sided paddock stand now as I had to go out and buy the exact same one again
Had to order yet another bloody paddock stand, 3rd one in less than year! Suppose it would help if I didn't keep changing my bike I guess. Still my misses is pleased as she gets my old one for her new purchase Honda CBR125 (oh it's a beast :tearsofjoy.
After the loss of the wheels for the zed I had to console myself with a Healtech gi pro gear indicator and QS for the hyper....
Brushed polished for the panni,a little different from the mirror polishing, quite pleased with the results.
How do you get that finish? are they titanium? seen loads of polished pipes but never found out how to do it...
No they are stainless,i had them done at custom chrome, its a new'ish finish they have started doing, they told me they use a brush not a mop to get the finish, its hard to tell from the photo but close up a lovely brushed finish that colours nicely when it goes through a few heat cycle's,these headers were in a awful state when is dropped them off,i will be putting them on my 899 when i remove the akra system.
Ah... Ok... I was half expecting some old wives trick like gone off ham and lemon peel or something like that... Looks nice though.... Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
This is a what did you buy for your bike thread, you must have been given these after buying a new bike ???
I've just got some crap off my 996 pipes with a grey Scottish pad and a bit of Autosol and it seems to have come up a bit like brushed alloy. Was going to experiment with cheaper pipes over winter.
You do know you get a free one with the real mccoy ,and its not a Ducati one as they have had issues with them,so i was told.
Spxxxx, Have just made an order for my 748 and 848, can you remember how long it took to deliver, thought i would give them a try as Mrs roadtrip is finally showing a bit of an interest in coming out as a pillion
Second rear header pipe as the full system doesn't cover this part & removing current one & faffing about will cost too much. This way I can coax the installer that its part of the kit once ceramically coated
