To The Blasters..

  1. Hello all.
Dug my old Hazet tool trolley out the garage at the weekend.
Decided to recon the old unit and powder coat in Ducati red. Dropped off at the powder coaters today who are blasting it tomorrow. Should be turned around in 10 days (ish)
Top will be matt black, rest will be red..
I have a new set of casters on order from Germany and new tray bushes..
I want to get a nice Ducati emblem stencilled or hand written in the back end but don't know what era design to add.
Undecided what to do with the handles also. Was thinking sleeve them up to look like ohlins forks but that could be hassle and look a bit too much
    Any thoughts or opinions?

  3. It's a bit rich just to put your rubbish in though?

  4. It'll be the fastest bin around...Should be pretty reliable too...

  5. I have something very similar probably an Asian version of the same but finished in Red. A nice little trolley for tools etc and good for trackdays.

I would go with an old style logo If I were doing the job

  6. A few of the older logo's are super cool. The trolley's are very handy, they take plenty of weight. That ones from early nineties, it was weathered when I inherited it as a third year apprentice. They were banished from the factory not long after as peeps trapped fingers if the drawers didn't lock out.
    Thanks for the feedback

  7. The older logo's can look very cool.
How about one of the following.

    The 1958 logo. Beautiful.

Or the 1949 logo. A classic. Like this or just plain white out of red. image.png

Or this, which I like because it's so unusual.

Don't make any of them too big is my advice but it's your box. Do it the way you want. You have to live with it.

  8. Many thanks for the logo's. I had the 1949 one in mind, think it would look superb  The servizio is a lovely emblem but would not stand out on red as its red writing/border

  9. Andy, you obviously have a lot of time on your hands.;)

  10. Haha. I just can't sit still. I'd like to focus on a bigger project, restoration of a nice old Mach 1 or similar but money and space restrict. In a few years perhaps. For now I just focus on low hanging fruit which I usually find hiding/hoarded in my dads garage.

  11. Back from the coaters
