Is it normal for the bike (1000SS DS)to make a whining noise when slowing down through the gears? Mine is very vocal when doing this but it does sound quite nice, it's not a bad noise it just concerns me something might be about to go. It's a bit like an electric RC car if that makes sense.
It's only on the overrun/slowing down and is coming from the transmission. If I pull the clutch in it goes. I should have mentioned that....it's transmission whine.

I thought that was the noise all IE owners made because they don't have a carby!! Open clutch cover should sort that, won't hear it over the rattle.
