What To Go For ?

  1. Opinions People. I have a 1200 Multistrada which I am more than happy with but am looking
for something different as a contrast.
I don't really want to spend more than 3k and my eye has been caught by the following...1999 Fireblade.....2005 GSXR1000 or GSXR600 or 2002 Yamaha R6, or should I be looking for something else ?

  2. A Honda C90 would be different....

Looking at your post it's speed you are after.....I came from a Cbr600rr/R6/Zx6r background and compared to my Hyper they were a pain to keep revving the brains out of them to get any decent get up and go and I wouldn't go back

If I wanted speed and handling I'd go for any 1000 and try to control myself :D

  3. The Honda C90 would leave me space in the garage for a third bike :grinning: which I would call Wednesday !! that means only 4 more bikes to make up the week

  4. 99-03 r1 would be my bet.

  5. A k5 gixxer or an original blade should appreciate in the future.

    Worthy investment imo

  6. Must say,I'm kind of edging that way.

  7. The Gixxer will be the better bike to ride.

  8. You'll be doing well to find a K5 at 3k though.....

  9. Early R1 4XV as mentioned above. Prices are rocketing but you will still find a good one around your budget - but not for long!!!

  10. Looks like another 1k for a K5.........do able as long as the wife doesn't find out :smirk:

  11. Check the K5/K6 forums for bikes for sale, they are generally better priced than EBay.

  12. Well this is it.. GSXR750 K3 should complement the Multistrada nicely.

  13. It will be a tough find at £4k but if you can, a Gixxer 750 K7, the best handling gixxer ever made and the last before all that mode nonsense they brought in. Were I not in love with the strada 1000, I would get another k7 tomorrow.

  14. K4/5 750 is a better bike than the K7's. I owned both, albeit the K7 was stolen within a year. The frame paint on the K7's was bloody atrocious, started rubbing off from my boots after a couple of thousand miles.

The K4/5 will rocket in value in the next 5 years too, theyre already going up a good rate for clean ones.

  15. 5pw Yam r1 first of the iinjection models

  16. no brainer, get a 748
