Stripped the fairing off the 400RR after Mallory just to check everything is done up and leak tight and empty the catch tray of all the crap picked up off the track. Replaced the screen which I clumsily cracked loading the bike on the trader and put it all back together ready for Jerez in 3 weeks. Want to strip the calipers out and clean them for both the 400 and the 853 but after the late night taxi run last night, they'll have to wait until the end of the week. Shower, beer, roast dinner, the BSB and then bed in that order :Yawn:
went out with a mate on his new r1. we swapped bikes for a while and although it looks very nice in the anniversary colours, i would describe it as very bland to ride. and it is very quiet even with a race can on it

Weeks holiday so decided to fit quick release sprocket carrier/ sprocket, titanium wheel and axle nut, titanium carrier nuts etc and new rosso corsa tyres that will hopefully sort out the shit handling, all on the 1098 sfs, Handling has been odd from day I bought bike with miss matched tyres and rear been wrong profile, rear had a Dunlop with 50 profile and original corsa 3 on front :rage: Cant believe how light the forged wheels are,
Out on the SFS today from 9am until 5.30 Seaways, Filey, Brid, Scarboro', Fimber Café and lots of coffee and nattering in between the riding Glorious and enjoyable day!

Got the Flowers + card for our 9 year wedding anniversary tomorrow. Was planning on meeting up with some friend this evening for an Indian but that's cancelled, not such a bad thing. Going for a good meal tomorrow, no excuses needed as far as I am concerned for good grub, this will be the fussy kind. Too much love of food in my life these days. Apparently we are not doing presents, sounds like a trap to me? I was going to get her a dab radio for the kitchen, wifi and apps etc just not sure if that's the right message. She enjoys cooking, I enjoy eating, not sure what the problem is... Apparently next year I am expected to do something special, 10 Years is that the done thing?... I was thinking for next year, If I get the wall knocked down between the lounge and kitchen, she can watch the TV with surround sound. I know some might not think that's romantic, but she will also have a good view of the open fire too. I'm lucky she puts up with me, I am sure my days are numbered.

Yesterday i was rumbled by SWMBO.........................after buying my new bike (not discussed with her but told her that I'd done it), buying my new leathers and gloves (not discussed with her but showed her them when I brought them in the house) when I bought the new helmet I snook it in the house and thought she'd not notice. Anyway she didn't notice anything different the first 3 times I took it out and wore it over the past week but yesterday when I got back from my ride and we were chatting, she suddenly looked at it and said "Is that helmet new too? Have we stopped talking about stuff?" Bugger..... I thought I'd got away with that one :/

Today has been a series of meetings and conference calls. And I'm non the wiser :/ Tonight I'm off climbing. Tomorrow I have a board meeting then I'm off to collect my new bike
Today I found out that when my wife gets a little upset, a simple "Calm down" in a calm soothing voice, is all it takes to get her a lot upset
and done in a bad fake liverpudlian accent, is the final soothing step... for that harmonious evening untroubled by further communication. Also brings unexpected air conditioning in, as an added bonus....
Well it is Melvins birthday tomorrow and I collect my Scrambler oops! I did buy him a new motorbike last year for his 60th though.
