  4. @comfysofa you should have let me know, I've been twiddling my thumbs most of today, I could have popped down, Rich is picking mine up for a once over next week, and looking at the slipper, and CJS is working his magic too, not sure what days as you know they are flexible.

  5. Heh... Sorry... I wasn't there very long (about 90 odd mins) rich was busy (is he ever not!) so I was keen to get out of his way plus it was starting to rain... Didn't make it back to Bristol dry though...

  8. I've forwarded the detail to Rich, If he's happy to try it I am happy to be a guinea pig, seem to be a lot of happy people with that mod, contacted @jusutus as he has the same slipper as me and he advised he had used this method and was very happy....no grabby clutch for him

  9. For a Fiver a tub its worth a punt I think... Unless it fucks up the plates and I have to buy a new set!

  12. I went to Ducati Manchester this morning to get the pillion seat lock reattached to the cable, as it was just spinning. Took two minutes to fix :)

Had a great run out and put on another 75 miles, getting home just before the rain started. However when I got off the bike and was just about to put it away I noticed a bolt on the floor, which I have to say was a tad worrying. Anyway I sent some pics of the offending bolt with dimensions etc to Ducati Manchester and they reckon it could be from the pillion foot peg location. So if it is it must have dropped into the fairing/bodywork when the took the pegs off, and fitted the new can. I can't see where else it could be from, and I've looked over the bike a dozen times, and SWMBO and my next door neighbour have also looked too.

Anyway I'll take it in when it goes for its first service and they can take a better look then.

That aside this bike is fantastic. When I was out on it on Thursday when I picked it up I thought it was pretty much of a muchness with the 899, but I was taking it easy as it was my first run out. However having ridden it harder today I can confidently say it's a very definite couple of steps better than the 899.

Firstly it's smoother than the 899, which makes it easier to ride, but it's still undoubtedly a Ducati V Twin. The new slipper clutch is fantastic, as is the QS, which is no surprise really. The wider fairing does make a huge difference over the 899. I certainly get lots less windblast than I did with the 899. And though the mirrors do not fold they are the best mirrors I've encountered on a Ducati sports bike. I no longer have do the chicken dance if I want to look behind me :upyeah:

It certainly has more poke than the 899, and I'm sure it makes you look like a better rider than you actually are. And to top it off the anniversario paint job is stunning and is attracting attention wherever I go. :)

So far I'm pleased I made the change :)

  16. I've heard she's a fast cat :p

  17. Hi, how you doing?

  18. Yeh, encourage it :) Then you get the question....what bike should I get?

  19. Already told her she should do a taster lesson in the next few weeks so I can pick up a nice little 125 for her to fettle over winter.

Then I'll probably get her a monster as there girls bikes.

And I can get a Hyper to go on rides with her as the 996/999/GSXR are to fast. [emoji6]

  20. I'm ok - or will be when I get pat the label of this bottle
