Does that not go against what the journo's and tuning firms have said though? Iirc the 959 is down on power against the 8 despite what Ducati said. Sure jhs put it down to the euro stuff.
Maybe my 899 was shit then But I tell you what, non of the boys on 1199s or 1299s ever lost me when we were riding briskly up in Scotland over the past two years.
where did you get your replacement faring bolts from please and presumably theyre the same as my 899 ones?
I've done the opposite actually. I tried after market bolts and none of them lasted more than a couple of fairing removals so I ended up shelling out the silly Ducati prices for spare originals.
No link mate, it's just the stock allen bolts from the dealer. They are easy to see on the ducati parts book on the website. Numbers 1 and 2 are the main bolt and washer and there's a few bigger ones; numbers 10 and 8.
Yeah reckon they are the same, I got them from podium racing I think off eBay, I can't see them on there now but there are some CNC racing ones up for 20 quid that are very similar... they look very smart when fitted and I've had my fairings on and off like a cheap whores knickers and there is not so much as a mark on them, depends how much you wanna spend and how delicate you are with your tools I guess....
@royalwithcream I wasn't suggesting you are heavy Handed with your tools Dave, I just inherited a bike with new style circular Allen bolts and have never been a fan of ducati fasteners except the dzus ones...
Didn't take it that way mate Dzus rock. I've got the 916 dsus ones on the Panigale R now. I have the stock bolts above the electrical areas and the rest are the 916 dsus so I can get everything off in just a few minutes now.
looks really good mate, I didn't even think of them when I bought the others, mind you the amount of tracks days you do they'll save you heaps of time :thumbsup:
Haha Always happy to help but I'm definitely no mechanic, I sit at a keyboard all day rather than playing with spanners unfortunately. Pretty handy at stripping a Panigale though. I got this!
