New Bike Faulty Already

Discussion in 'Newbies Hangout' started by Tom Dawson, Sep 9, 2016.

  1. Hi all,
After recently buying my first ducati 999s and loving every minute I might add, it has developed a fault.
While idling or riding the volt meter rises to high and then the management light comes on there are no stored faults but it is blowing low beam bulbs.
with the bulb out and ignition off I have 12v on the plug for the bulb, what is going on? where do I start? any advise any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance .

  10. common problem the Rectifier gets hot and does not last did it on one of mine just replace it

  11. It's not really a "new" bike, more like a second hand one.
What's its history, mileage, condition etc?
