I've a HM plant item it does nt seem to work very well below 6000 rpm but above that it's awesome is that because it was developed for racing or is it rider error ?
My 1098R with NOVA gearbox & Nemesis QS system is similar. I've put it down to the fact that low down the rev range, the difference in engine speed is greater when changing gears, so you get quite a jump when using the QS. A the top end of the rev range, the drop in revs is much less and the QS is almost seamless. I don't use the QS low down the rev range now, or just roll off the throttle slightly if I do.
I use mine for racing, but would encounter shift problems sometimes. Not fully shifting or false neutral. When its working properly the power delivery is so smooth and seemless! I'm running a dp quickshifter on an 1198 (just flashed the ecu to activate it)
I had a lot of missed gears going up the box so repositioned the arm higher up and not had one for a while , but I ve just gone back to using the clutch below 6000 and all seems well
I was thinking of doing the same. I noticed if I really kicked it, it should shift more consistent. Oh and anything other than WOT shifted crappy. I was thinking of trimming my bellypan by the shifter to make sure there was no contact either. Gave up until after the season then I'll play. Just deactivated it for now. But did hit a couple false neutrals in really bad turns. Almost tucked it twice.
The worse feeling I ve had on a bike is like you say no power while cranked over i thought it was bad on the road but on a track I dread to think . I ve a HM plant item just adjusted the boot lever ? don t know what it's called But like you looked a fairing lol not the best idea really I even find the boot lever a bit small looked at getting a longer item made but just twist my foot a bit but I really do like the race patten though I find the road way a bit harder now
Mine is the opposite. Shifts lovely below say 7k above that!! Nothing! Tried everything. I just can't figure it out.
I've tried loads of different kill times. It doesn't even try to change, if kill was wrong you'd think the shift would be crap. I've tried turning sensitivity up!
Might want to contact the mfg of the shifter and see if they have any ideas. I've heard guys talking about them going bad.
Yeah I might email a guy I have spoken to in the past. It works fine lower revs though, I'm no expert but you'd think it either works or doesn't.
