Ok, so still haven't ridden a 959 yet, but its planned in next Tuesday all being well with time slotted in between some customer meetings..... its just so hard to test bikes nowadays with shit weather on weekends and blazing hot sun when I'm stuck in the office......Gotta be Brexits fault somehow Anyway, I've been looking at the various exhaust options, the SC-Project CRT being my favourite look so far, although at £600+ due to the exchange rate (more Brexit doom ) its a little pricey....plus they don't seem particularly good at customer service PHOTOGALLERY DUCATI PANIGALE EXHAUST SYSTEM So, i reckon Mr Racefit could do exactly the same look and quality for a nice £400 lump of cash and a box of beer. However, it got me thinking, the cat looks to be the classic Ducati style cows udder they've used for years, therefore surely getting a decat link pipe can't be too much hard work? Rexxer maps are available and although probably not one done for a decat, i bet theres a full system one that'd be a good starting point for the 959. So, has anybody looked in to this? The problem is that its only us Brits/Europeans that need to do it, normally the Americans would have done it by now but those buggers have got the good under belly stuff :Mooning:
It'll need mapping. And you've got next to no chance of being able to take her on track if you go down any of those routes...
Yeh, admittedly I was just thinking that about the track noise. Although, having said that you never know as it's still got a long pipe so with a baffle it might be ok.......like balls will it It'd probably need an in line db killer within the decat pipe itself and then another one....if not more. I'm still intrigued though, I'd like to hear a 959 with the flapper valve cancelled, just to see how loud that is.
Rexxer are German, so most of their work is on Euro bikes, and they have put a lot of work in. Speak to a Rexxer agent, because they probably have a file for whatever you are thinking of doing. Don't forget the Austin Racing as an option....
...or how about going the route of putting standard 1299 cans/pipe work on and then you get the looks AND can still go on track?
Dave - did you manage to take it off and unplug it without any error codes? Looking to do this on mine
You will get an error code. You either need to get the code removed or buy a little plug in to fool the system into thinking it is still there.
