just fitted some mirrors from Oberon Performance, they work well, no shoulders in the way takes a bit of getting used to, looking down to find the mirror rather than up, but its not a bad view behind. would have prefered it if the mirrors had a slightly wider field of view, but with both mirrors fitted, its good enough. also, I prefer the look of the bike without the usual upright mirrors. easy enough to fit, but right hand side was a bit of a fart on, had to take the bars off and spend 10 minutes trying to refit the spring-um-a-thing in the throttle housing. not cheap, but well made and worth it.
Nice... I've been looking at fitting some of those to my 1100 for a while. The standard fold out ones make it look like there's a 100 cars following me instead of 1 they shake that much I don't fold them out that much but it's nice to see if any plods are behind before I nail it.....
Really like the look of them I've also got the 821 sp and don't like the look of the stock mirrors Will look at getting some of these Cheers
Other way round for me - my mirrors are always out. I like the look of the Hyper with the mirrors out. Yeah - they shake around a bit but that doesnt bother me. Its on of the reasons i like the old hyper. Its kinda iconic in that, thats what makes it....IMO if you loose the foldy mirrors your loosing a key part of what makes the Hyper.
Ive got a small Oberon on my RSV4 (Bar end mirror) and while small its brilliant....very good optics. But then, thats Oberon - you get what you pay for....
Once I've sorted some others I'll sell my stock ones @comfysofa Chain/Sprockets and tyre are needed first though
@cream-revenge view behind is not that wide, bit of a learning curve to judge distances, compared to the stock mirrors.... but as comfy mentioned the optics are excellent and the stubby mounting arms are rock solid so there is virtually zero vibration
I'm used to sports bike mirrors which are almost always pants but the Hyper's mirrors are even more useless and they look poop too. Might check these out, they look pretty slick. :sunglasses:
