A bit of track prep, half the fairing's and GB racing covers then a quick ride to make sure no issues
In the past the smaller bikes have had much better manners than their big brothers (848/1098, 899/1199). However, in the case of the 959/1299 there is not a lot in it. If anything, the smoother suspension and lighter wheels make the 1299 easier (based on just 60 miles so far!....)
Yes I agree, although from my experience the 959 is slightly better pottering around town and probably the more sensible option for the road, especially for keeping hold of your licence!! The 1299 is simply an amazing machine though and for what I want a bike for it ticks all the boxes and more.
Bled the clutch and brakes tonight Clutch has been getting spongey recently so bled the system to some of motuls finest and did the brakes while I was on. Clutch feels spot on again Looking online it seems it's a common thing for panigales to gradually let air in to the clutch line
Alright mate, do you have any more pictures of the CNC rearsets fitted to your bike? Been looking at these and can't decide between sliver or black? Don't suppose anyone has black one fitted to a 1299 that they'd like to share?
Picked this up secondhand. Beautifully made. Anyone know if I can powder coat the spring as I'm not keen on the blue and Nitron want about £70 to supply a black one?
I think the 899>959 and 1199>1299 are directly interchangeable and otherwise with certain linkages but don't quote me as I'm not 100% sure
