1200 R Missing Bolt

Discussion in 'Monster' started by MonsterGB, Sep 26, 2016.

  1. Fitted a Radiator guard to the bike at the weekend, and was shocked to find a bolt missing. It's the bolt that connects the bottom of the radiator to the engine on the left hand side of the bike. I have attached a photo. It does not look like it dropped off, it looks more like it was never there from the factory (and also escaped the PDI )

Might be worth checking yours just in case mine was not the only Friday afternoon bike leaving the factory!!

  2. I'm not sure there is a bolt missing. Ducati have on many models used that type of rubber mount just pushed over a spigot. Download your parts list from the Ducati website and check. Andy

  3. Thanks Andy, I will check that. The rubber mount was not connected to the "Meccano" strip to the right of it, and that corner of the radiator was free floating, hence my assumption of a missing bolt. It may well be that if I put the spigot and rubber grommet through the Meccano, that will suffice. Regards. Graham.

  4. Andy's right... There's no bolt, just the rubber grommet over the spigot holds the rad.

  5. Thanks Nelly, now checked the parts list and there is no bolt. Have refitted the rad onto the spigot.
