Well we started 'converting' my 1200S into the Pikes Peak model this evening using a Vulturbike graphics kit. It's a slow process but the results so far are looking good so I thought I'd share a couple of pics. Hoping to have the graphics finished tomorrow evening, then I've got to get the belly pan and pillion footrest hangers powder coated black.
Looks the bollox that Sparky lad. Are you putting the whole lot on? I reckon it looks sweet as it is now.
Looks top draw! Would be interested in any information re the decal kit, is it applied like a ventureshield kit, I.e with loads of water or is it a dry fit kit?
No instructions were supplied with the kit, so we had to do it by trial and error. Some YouTube videos show the use of a soapy water spray so we tried this first. Wrong! This kit has to go on dry, with delicate use of a heat gun for the curves and corners. Heat is your friend, but it can also be your enemy. You also need the patience of a saint!
I made need to source a professional! Patience is not a virtue I possess! I get frustrated waiting for the kettle to boil!!
Yes, got the kit from eBay but it's made by Vulturbike in Italy. They aren't always on eBay but just search for 'Multistrada 1200 decal sticker' and you should find it easy enough.
Had the belly pan and pillion footrest hangers powder coated black and added some wheel stickers, looks better now I think.
