Howl Of Rage - Yellow 2003 749s Fairings...

  1. A couple of years ago I made a high-speed 749/bird interface and destroyed my RH fairing. I managed to get a RH from a yellow 749 but it bugs me that it's not an "S" fairing.

A week or so back I managed to score a full set of yellow 749s fairings from eBay, not a massive bargain but would quiet my chuntering brain... they were shipped in bubble wrap and a box by the seller and Parcelfarce managed to smash the RH upper fairing in transit, adding injury to the insult of already having taken 72 hours for a 48 hour delivery.

Did all my jobs today and sat down happily to unpack them this afternoon and assemble them ready to fit... it's sunny and the kids are happily playing outside and this would have been a lovely way to be in the garden with them and tinker at the same time. I even ordered nice new Dzus fasteners last night to do the job right... am spectacularly sad.

    Why are couriers such amateurs?...

  4. It gets better... the seller didn't insure the package, oh well... PayPal dispute and eBay complaint opened.

For £4.50 why *wouldn't* you insure for the full value of the parcel...? That's madness when you're shipping something fragile. People absolutely stagger me... Oh well, instead of a nice cheerful exchange and processing the insurance claim it's now going to be like pulling teeth.

    FFS. :tired:

  9. Aren't parcels usually insured up to a certain amount before you have to pay extra?
