Evening all, I will be advertising my 848 evo the weekend and want to know what sort of price to advertise it, I have looked online but only see ones for sale in dealers which IMO isn't any help to private sale prices 2012 848 evo matte black 2830 miles £620 service carried out 20 miles ago at Ducati Wolvo inc belts will have a fresh 12 months MOT on before I sell it Comes with manuals, two keys and keycard
I assume this was the one in bits? My mate wants a black Evo 848, but it would have to be sub 6k knowing it's been dropped.
Ill show you before and after pictures.. I have replaced nose cone, RHS fairing, upper and lower. Rear brake lever, and still have a few little more things, (front lever and clip on as it has a scuff on) the bikes HPI clear, so although yes it has been dropped, no one would know, and absolutely no damage to forks, wheels, frame ect was caused.
Would be great if you could message images of the damage and repairs. Also can you provide garage confirmation of zero damage to frame and forks? Tks
I don't have garage confirmation, but given the fact how light the damage was to the bike, and panels, they have just light scuffs, and I know the previous owner who was just coming to a stop at some lights when the front went on some gravel. Not doing no more than 10mph. I still have the old parts so you can see how minimal the damage was. However if you are looking to spent less than 6k then it will be no good as the bike owes me more than that. All the best
Well, on topic. I paid £6900 for my red 2012 Evo that's in mint condition on 11k mileage with Termi's and it was from a dealer.
Are you, perchance on the marketing and public affairs team for the football association? That sneaky double negative in the reference to the pre-collision velocity may take the shine off Good luck with the sale :tonguewink:
It worth every penny what someone is prepared to pay, no more and no less, if you ask £7k and no one buys it I guess you're asking too much! The whole selling process is complex, I do it for a living! Ask too much and then keep dropping it by £500 quid and people will tend to avoid thinking it'll be reduced further, ask too little and you'll always be wondering if you could have got more so ask what you're comfortable with and stick with it
So you paid £6900 for one with 11k miles in mint condition, this has 2800 and is also now mint condition, plus the fact it has just had a £625 service 22 miles ago. that gives me a good idea on what to ask then, cheers
I'm not here trying to do a fast one, that's why I posted what I paid. My pre 6k suggestion was based on the amount of parts you were after when you joined - seeing the pics does give better context and yes, it's worth more than 6k. Like Nige says, put up what you want and see how you get on.
I know pal, I appreciate your input. Online some dealers are asking £7995+ with more mileage, so I shall start off at say £7200 and see how it goes from there. I am in no rush but also don't want it sat in my garage for months on end so its finding that balance. Thanks
Too steep for my mate I know. He just had his cracking white 848 written off so he's on the hunt. He won't spend that much though. In my honest opinion £7200 is not a bad place to start at, gives you decent wiggle space for a haggler! Full service counters the cost of Termi's so you may do alright. It's always a tough gig having to do up a bike with no insurance money. Proper wrecked my R1 on TPFT - cost me £1500 to fix it!
Ah pal that don't look good, This is how my S1000RR looked after my accident 4 months ago, lucky to be here, and it's a slow road to recovery... But I don't think it will be going back on the road. lol
Looks better than yours though. Bloody hell mate, that is one proper job of writing a bike off. You're still here, so you've always got that to be happy with.
Well while we are on topic, here is the reason I'm shopping for an 848 replacement. Written off last saturday
KibbDJ just an update I found and purchased a 2011 EVO red FSH belts changed in Jan with 8k miles for 5900, standard spec
