939 SP Crash Protection

Discussion in 'Hypermotard' started by RK6, Sep 30, 2016.

  1. I'm struggling to decide what to stick on my Hyper to give it a bit of protection.

Options from what I can see are:
    • Evotech bobbins
    • R&G bobbins
    • CNC Accomac wings
What have you guys gone for and why?

Post some pics if possible. :sunglasses:

  2. Mines got R&G on there cos they were on it when i bought it....if you want to just buy the one (35 quid) ive got a spare at home with a slight scuff on it....a couple of years back some asshole backed into my rsv4 knocking it off the stand but, luck-of-the-gods it fell over square on the r&g and balanced on it....so its there if you want it. Just chuck us a fiver for the carriage....while ive not looked i think the spacers and bolts are in there...if you do want it ill double check tonight...

  3. Appreciate the offer but I'm too vein to put a scuffed slider on my shiny new bike. If it was for my track bike I'd have bitten your hand off but whatever I put on has to look good as well as be functional.

Is there anywhere I can see a pic of your bike on here? Google image results are pretty lame for Hyper crash protection...

  4. Mines an 1100 though. IMG_20160524_064219.jpg Not a brilliant pic im afraid....im on it today so ill go and take another one in a min if you want a closeup...

  5. Well that's a little bit nice aint it!? Very tastefully modified.

I do really like the R&G aero's on it and they look like they'd do a pretty damn good job of protecting the casings and frame.

Hoping to find a decent picture of the Accomac sliders before pulling the trigger on the R&G's. All the pics online are close ups which doesn't really give much of a feel for how they look and how the might perform in a spill...

  6. i like the look of the bike fr too much to put dodgy roller skate wheels on the side, i pay fully comp insurance, if i chuck it up the road i'll just claim

  7. Point taken but I fully intend to see what the hyper can do on track and it'll probably end up with knobblies at some point for a bit of off-road fun.

  8. Cheers... When I bought it, it looked mostly like that but there's been quite a lot of work done to tidy up all the little things.... Still got more to do though...

  10. Awesome, thanks. :sunglasses:

  11. What's this seat unit?

  12. It's the seat.... Its just upholstered to follow the lines of the paintwork...

  13. But isn't the tail section different too?

  14. Ah, yes, that comes with the sc project system...

I'm saying that it was on there when I got the bike but I believe it comes with the system as the pipes have a slightly different mounting point - i dont think the stock panels would allow the pipes to sit where they are....

  15. On the same today had a scare and now decided to get the Evotech bobbins, don't care anymore the looks (Rizoma has delayed a lot for their new model and not sure if the 821 fits or not), so I chose these and avoid the potential damage in the future.

  16. I contacted sc and apparently it's from this company
