Undelivered Sat-nav

  1. I ordered a sat-nav from amazon and paid £328 for it. I got an email stating when it was going to be delivered on 27th Sept so stopped in all day (apart from an hour in the afternoon when I had to nip out about 15:00. I had an email that evening saying that the parcel had been delivered to the resident (my name) at 18:53. I was in and so was my fiancée, and no delivery was made. Emails to amazon connect and they said it was delivered ! Amazon.com are now looking into it too. Is there anything I can do if they also fob me off?

  2. Yep, unless it has either of your signatures then it's for them to prove otherwise. No seller is gonna send that value of stuff without a signature.

Consumer rights is for the retailer to prove you received it.

    Have you asked your neighbours?

  3. Yeah asked the neighbour. But they state it was delivered when I was actually home !?

  4. No signature, no proof. You'll win on that argument alone.

  5. Well,
Of all things to get lost, a SATNAV Was not one of them I'd of thought would..............

  6. I bought the missus some red soled shoes!! It stated on the parcel in big fck off letters that the package was not to be delivered unsigned or to a neighbour. The fckwit delivery fellow threw it over my gate!!!!

  7. Yeah, definitely say your delivery driver has a history of fobbing off deliveries.

  8. We had a delivery driver open our front door without knocking. Put the parcel on the floor and shouted parcel

  9. My amazon driver puts my name on when he leaves it at the front door. Yours possibly did the same and someone walked off with it.

  10. Check your dustbin!

We had an Amazon delivery left in our wheelie bin! The bin was out on the driveway (because it was binmen day) and the Amazon numpty left the parcel in it and shoved a card through our door saying it was in the bin!

Fortunately the Amazon delivery was after the bins had been emptied so we did retrieve it.

We have a sticker on our letterbox saying if there's no-one home to sign for a parcel, don't leave it with neighbours or on the doorstep - take it back to the depot, but the delivery guys don't always take any notice.

  11. Checked all the bins just in case . I also said to leave on the porch if I wasn't in, but the time that they said it was delivered we were both in. It wasn't delivered full stop, but the driver is saying that it was and that it was handed to me ! Lying twat will probably get away with it too !

  12. He won't "get away with it" if he doesn't have your signature. Also, you don't know for sure he is lying.
Another possibility: are there any similar addresses around you that he could have delivered too?

  13. No there isn't another highfield road. It was stated that it was handed to the resident 'David B' which is me, at 18:53 when both myself and fiancee were in at that time. These days signatures are written on hand held gizmos and are illegible when you write on them so that might be all the proof they have.
Would my bank be able to claim the money back if Amazon won't refund or send another satnav? Will the police get involved in something like this ?

  14. I'm sure you will find Amazon will sort this out.

  15. Thats the problem with a lot of these courier firms. They get paid when they deliver the parcel so they do everything they can to get rid of them. They don't want to be continually trying to deliver a parcel over a number of days. Which courier delivered the parcel and do you have a tracking number? You should be able to go onto their website and actually see the signature.

  16. It was Amazon logistics delivery. I do have the tracking number so I'll see if I can view the signature . Cheers for that idea

  17. Alternatively, contact the courier company, speak to a grown up and explain - it may get you further than the online approach where 'computer says no' rules. They may also have a long list of debatable 'deliveries' by the same driver and feel obliged to compensate you rather than risk losing their Amazon contract

  18. I will phone them direct as soon as I hear what Amazon say about it.

  19. Name one courier that delivers at 1853. Most of them piss of home at 1600 and mark any left over jobs as 'knocked, no answer'.

You could also ask for the vehicle tracking (they're all usually tracked).

  20. Most of the ones that deliver here do. DPD/DHL etc regularly come after 6pm...
