Hi folks I've just joined and was wondering what the best tyres to put on my multistrada I have just bought running Michelin road pilots at the moment and they are getting low and I'm finding the front a big dodgy any suggestions for better grip on the twisty roads
If you try the forum search function, tyres have been the subject of a number of posts recently. However, understand that discussing tyres is like discussing women, we all have our own favourite. My advice would be to go sow your seed and try a few - tyres that is. Andy
Yep as android said....definately....i make a point now of not reading (or taking any review information on board) eg the last tyre i bought on review was the m7rr and they were fucking awful. Loads on here reckon theyre brilliant and have had 10 million miles out of them....mine lasted just over 2k and the second nail in the rear was a blessing in disguise. Personally im doing the rounds...gonna try a different set and then make my own choice based on that...at the moment for me the surprising tyre of choice (so far) is the pilot 2...i had a good front so got a brand new rear for 75 quid (so good value as well). Once im through those ill be trying dunlop's next. The m7rr's started life on my rsv4 - took them off after constant stepping out of the rear on corner exit...transferred them to my z1ooo - which was even worse but then i cant afford to change them so just used them on that to get the run down. Pilots are on my hyper, and as i say theyre the best at the moment from a price to grip point of view. The zeds rear m7rr was replaced with a part worn Rosso II (190 on a 50 profile) - (m7rr was a 200 on a 55 profile) and the rosso feels better...ive got a few part worns in the garage so im going through those first..
Just trying to inject a little (sexist) humour into what is a very dry subject . Seeking opinions from us lot is like asking your mum if you should go out with blonde, brunette or red head . Andy
