1299 2017 New Model Superbike

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by JohnR, Sep 27, 2016.

  1. Mine is, and tbh been ok (few little issues) but its the bike that has been shifting and throwing money at 66k bikes wont keep them in business. Reps are lost so much quicker, and the multi and 1*99 seem to not be fairing too well

  2. Good luck with it, hope they don't leave you hanging too much longer.

  3. £66k sounds cheap if it is 160kg and 220bhp.... when you consider anything else you could buy that is even close to that....

  4. My old Superleggera felt a world away from the 1199S it replaced. So who knows what this thing will be like, laughably the electronics on the SL were pretty basic next to the S/R variants with the auto-blip etc. Now the EVO software from the Annoversario is going to be tweaked and plonked on this. Should be good.

    I wonder what will lap faster in the hands of a regular joe;

    - Honda RC213V with race kit
    - Suter MMX 550
    - This

    I'd lend them my own bike to see the result of that, Performance Bikes, Michael Rutter and the full Silverstone GP circuit...

    Place your bets.

  5. I see dealers that were at the factory today had to sign NDA's. And some of them seem excited.

    I really cant see what else they can do after the Superleggera :Bookworm: ?

    Anyone aware of any changes coming in wsbk over the next yr or two, that could give us a clue.

    but if its 66k, mad money ! I commend guys who buy these exotics and actually ride them !

  6. Wish I had enough money to buy one and to race it; would need to buy two to have some spares :)

  8. Wrong Sammie announced in 06 (based on the 2006 model) if you had a 999R you could order with frame/engine numbers on the order form (originally 400 units made), the order books filled instantly so numbers increased. Original price £37.5k then £40k then £42k. First shipments 2008, I got mine in June 2008.
