  1. After my 1100 tail tidy decided to make a bid for freedom on one trip home from work

I was looking to buy another when @comfysofa informed me he had some made and had a few left..

Deal was done and I was the proud owner of a stainless steel tail tidy (which unlike the alloy ones is in no danger of breaking) and mudguard.

Looks much better than OEM, though I still need to get a smaller plate and the mudguard covers a lot more than the OEM guard too

    OEM

Fitting was a bit of a faff...but through no fault of the parts...It was trying to get the silencers level which was the biggest job as of Termignoni and their fitting tolerance of +/- however much Vino Cotto Luigi had at lunch

I did have the tidy mounted then the mudguard on after (As in photo) but I swapped them round and the fit was better, didn't realise till I looked that the mudguard was bending to touch where the last bolt went in......doh !

Comfy has a few of each left and I can recommend both items

  2. I almost wished I had a twin termi rear so I could use my own stuff....on my last bike both the mudguard and tail tidy worked really well together...

  3. Hi Comfy, Does this Tail tidy not really work with the 2-1 Termi pipe? Any ideas which tail tidy will go with a single side pipe as i need one! Any suggestions most welcome, as I've now joined the ranks of Evo SP ownership! Many thanks

  4. Evo sp 821 or 1100?

  8. Ah - ok- well as you can see from the pic the mount point is the same as the profile of the stock pipe....ive not seen the underside of a hyper 1100 with the single exit pipe. Can you take a pic for me so I can see??

  9. I can, and i will when i get home on friday evening if you can wait that long! Ive never seen the underside of a twin pipe, but i am guessing mine may be missing a mudguard of some sort as the amount of dirt etc around the battery and stuff under the seat was excessive - plus i can see straight thru to the tyre when the seat is off! something maybe amiss!

  10. Comfy is that your Evo SP Hyper in Pramac colours? SC pipe? Very nice!! That is exactly how i wanted mine to look - luckily we live in different countries! I have a Termi pipe but essentially same set up as yours! Where did you get the seat from? You have put some effort into that bike - loving your work!!

  13. It is!....but i got it mostly in that state and since ive got it ive been sorting out a never ending list of issues....nothing bad, nothing that stops me using the bike but more to do with "how i want it" eg the last owner had a rubbish camera system for rear view which never worked but he left it in, so i had to partially strip it to get it all out then remove the acerbis handguards and get stock mirrors. A list of endless fixings that were rusted or corroded. Fluid lines that were stock and rusty, wiring that wasnt sealed correctly and tidied up. Upgrades: Air filters, heated grips, optimate connection etc etc. Added the roadlok...the list goes on...still have to sort out my flashing indicator problem (theyre too fast). Going to change the battery for a lipo lightweight one...

The seat has a very small tear on the corner at the rear so it really needs to be recovered but it has been sealed up quite well so its not on my list of priorities.

  14. I need a pic from the underside so i can see how the pipe and the existing tail tidy mount to the subframe. The number plate hanger ive got on the hyper at the moment might do the same job. If it does i can get it manufactured out of stainless...

  15. @comfysofa I've got a standard 1100 seat sitting round that I'll do you a good deal on if you want it ? :D

  16. Heh - ive already got the original spare one in the garage....i was thinking of getting that done then i could keep the old seat on...

  18. Well, thats the point - i dont know....i need to see the underside of yours to see how the single system connects....

  19. Ah ok Comfy will post pic when I can.
