Anyone found a reasonably priced one? I ordered the Ducati one from Machine Mart and it is too small. Next step is the stealers for an official one. Cheers Mark
Mark I ordered one of these (not used yet, but fits the hub 100%). Picture below is my actual item, with a knife to give some perspective Ducati Hypermotard Monster Multistrada Chain Adjuster Tool in Stainless Steel. | eBay
Let me see which one mine is. I got it off the bay. Found it. Well the seller anyway, it was from hdesauk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thats a challenge you can just about see that the lower curve of the spanner is not flush to the hub, maybe I am being fussy, but to mind and avoid slippage it should fit flush having the same diameter.
Ah, ok - i see what you mean. I'm wondering if all the spanners are like this and don't fit flush for the circumference of the spanner. Could ask in a dealership to see what they say, & perhaps ask to see their spanner at the same time
Seems absolutely inconceivable to me that Ducati don't supply these with the bike. Such a cheap and basic item - it really should be standard.
Agree. When I enquired about it with a dealer back in the summer they said "check your tool kit, the C-spanner would be in there". Clearly, they hadn't been on the M12R course as they don't know how big a C-spanner is!! Doh!
I bought one of these: Ducati Hypermotard Monster Multistrada Chain Adusting Tool 5mm Stainless Steel. | eBay And one of these: BGS Tools 1/2" Bit Socket Torx T-Star T60 x 55mm 4378 | eBay Took me literally about a minute to adjust my chain at the weekend - absolutely perfect!
