I don't live in MK. I live in a small town on the opposite side of the M1. I doubt if you are working in MK (the road) will be of concern to you. Although there do seem to be a lot of Ducatis round this area.. Don't work to hard.
I also live the other side of the M1. I need to stop the working malarkey so I can get our on my bike. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Outside surface level should always be a minimum of 150 mm below dpc to prevent above-damp wetting from rain splashing. Doesn't make any difference whether a gap has been left or not. (Unless its about three feet).:Arghh: However, on modern cavity walls the cavity should extend 450 mm below dpc. If it does and the cavities are clear you should get away with it. But naughty naughty, don't do it again. :Sorry: DB will come round and help if you have to start again.
Went to the citadel on the island of Gozo, now watching the sunset with a well earned cold one whilst doing this.
Some very enthusiast hill climber racers over that way. I've met some of them over there. They shut down the roads often in Malta, Gozo for these guys..
It's fine, water pisses down the inside face of the outside skin and will eventually disperse. Amount of water depends on the type of brick. You have problems if the cavity is filled above the dpc, particularly on the internal skin, this results in water moving to the outside face of the internal skin and you will get salts forming from the dampness. Water coming down the cavity is another reason for brickies to keep the ties clean.
Back to work today (training course) body still On Vegas time so struggled to stay focused, think I managed to wing it though!!

Just read an article saying that Sex Therapists believe that the most effective way to arouse a man is to lick his ears....... Personally I think it's bollocks
The wife's just been checking to see if she has everything ready for her first solo parachute jump tomorrow. I said, "do you have an extra pair of panties with you?" "What, in case it's really cold?" She replied. "No." I said, "In case your main chute doesn't open"
Still suffering the consequences of having a debate last night on if we should fix the underfloor heating or fit radiators (down stairs). I point out both have draw backs. Mainly it's my savings and I'd have to do it. I'm not paying someone a premium to do a crap job. Oh and were not having standard radiators apparently. So I also mentioned we do need to knock walls down first to sort out fitting radiators correctly. Deaf ears... Perhaps we should fit carpets and paint before we do the work too?... It is getting colder now and I don't like it but the money would have to come from my savings, which are from me selling my race car this year unexpectedly. I did say I worked 7 days a week to buy parts to fix my old 911 then sold it and the sold my R1, over the years all my money went into that pot. I don't want to spend it on the house... Then the lectures started, so in my deference I said... I've bought older bikes, that require a bit of TLC because they don't tend to devalue as much. Maintenance I do monthly which impacts my disposable income and takes time. Purely so that I could keep the savings I have, just in case I might race again. Otherwise I could have bought a Panigale 1299 with warranty and not had to do the usual putting other peoples cock ups or poor maintenance right. That did not get a response. Oh and I had planned on doing the garden over winter, building a BBQ hut with a roof ready for summer (more involved than it sounds. This is obviously not high on the list of priorities nor is knocking the walls down. I've lived in so many houses in recent years, finished them and then moved. Starting to feel a bit like rebelling. Sick of doing this crap on top of other crap and wearing too many hats (not cold weather related). I am thinking if I just spend the money, then it's gone... I've been offered two f3 cars recently but I quite fancy a Panigale or an Aprilla RSV4 that should put a stop to this. She's in a shit mood anyway. I might as well... I could suggest she put some more jumpers on or stands nearer the cooker.
Fit the radiators. Sometimes you have to let them win a battle or 2. At least you don't need to sell the 998 to get the heating. And, further down the line you can save/take a loan for the Panni. Remember, a cold wife is a grump wife.
Trying really really really hard not too take a motorbike apart as I can't afford the new bits anyway.
