  3. Much more widely known for their car helmets.

As for SHARP, I'm not sure I trust it that much given the flawed assumptions in some of their test scripts, but at the end of the day it's better than no testing at all.

  4. It arrived ok, feels a bit tight TBH. But I think I've been too large (yet comfy)on previous lids...

  5. better tight than lose it will soon soften up

  6. Queue ET with a hearty phannar phannar...

  7. I line em up ,,,

  8. Beat me to it..........phnarr phnarr!

  9. I wasn't expecting that.....

  10. And while on the subject of helmets......

......has anyone got an old b*ggered up Arai visor they don't want........For a small project, I'm after the little button thingy for lifting the visor....some used to be screwed on, some were glued, I think.

  11. This particular Bell beats Arai hands down on the SHARP tests........that is if anyone takes any notice of them.......albeit they have the weight wrong...its 1250, so its lighter than my composite carbon AGV.

  12. That's hardly reassuring then

What sort? I might have an old L-type kicking around here somewhere.

  13. The only Arai in the tests that is the same http://sharp.direct.gov.uk/testsratings/arai-gp5x

Visor like wot was on a Giga???

You know what I mean....the little black blob right on the left hand bottom edge....Be handy if you have one.

  14. Yep, although I think the Giga took an earlier type visor, but the grip point looks similar. Will have a hunt in the spares box and see what I got.

  15. I think my old Giga visor button was held on by two small screws...certainly the eyebrow vents were..........but the Giga button may have been glued on which could be why I can't find it as I probably chucked the whole lot.

    Thanks for looking, anyway...

  16. Hi, new to the site but I can give you a bit of my experience. I have 2 helmets, Arai which I like for a couple of hours riding, excellent ventilation on damp days and light weight. Down side is the wind noise from the side pods.
For touring I use a schuberth c2, quietest helmet I've ever had, bit heavy though.
Any way, to answer your original question, I bought the schuberth from the NECESSARY bike show 2 years ago, you basiclly haggle the price down. I bought it for about £80 cheaper than what I could have bought it on the net....
The bike show is on the last week of November.
    Good luck

  20. Bought this a few years ago to wind up my northern mates . Took the money out of the bank in Glasgow but funnily enough they didnt have one at Ducati Glasgow , so , I went to a Ducati dealer in Newcastle and bought one there . They didnt want to take the funny money though but got there in the end.
