Bradders that's about right. I knew it was squared off and getting close to replacement time but it went from OK to this in a 40 odd mile quicky on Sunday morning. Thinking of trying a Dunlop sportsmart 2 rather than another Pirelli. Heard good things about them. sticky on edges but longer life in centre.
Been there before! http://ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/it-was-okay-when-i-went-out.34109/ Given up with Pirelli's now, Mich Evo Supersports for me, suit the 899 perfectly
Cheers Poucher. Thought I'd seen something similar on site before. Just read through your thread again. Good point regarding police if I had been stopped and worrying how thin your tyre was when removed. How did you find the grip/wear level of the Michelin Evo's compared to the Pirelli's? JS
See post no 30 here :- http://ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/tyres-for-a-899.42117/page-2 I think the Mich Evo Supersports are better for both grip and wear than the Pirelli's, The last Evo did just over 2,800 miles compared to just over 2,000 miles for the Pirelli's and are a lot easier to judge when you need to change them as the tread wear bars are near the centre of the tyre.
