  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.

  7. In funm finm's defence, he did mention "simplistic" in his post :Smug:

  8. we still train them to kill. they don't attend combat until they are 18.

  9. We also train them to do vehicle maintenance, understand IT, perform admin tasks, fly aircraft, excel at physical fitness and a hundred other things ... much of which they will continue to do in civilian life.
Why oh why do we have to spoil all that by teaching them to shoot?

  10. yip tell that to the exe infantry men and woman living on the street.
maybe taking it a bit far here, teaching them to shoot to kill?

  12. Nothing wrong with learning to shoot. It de-glamorises firearms and introduces a discipline that requires calmness, clear thought and a level head, resilience and the ability to tune out distractions and maintain absolute focus. Not everyone can master it but anyone can benefit from practising the skills required.
Teaching youngsters to shoot and treat firearms with respect is entirely positive and nothing to worry about. Its teaching politicians to understand the gravity of war and not send people to die needlessly in avoidable conflicts which have been started out of political calculation that we should be concentrating on. Unfortunately politicians are less receptive than children to learning new skills.

  13. I suspect you realise this but I was typing tongue-in-cheek when I brought up "shooting" in my post.

  14. spoken like a true american lol

  15. I know. I draw you attention to the penultimate sentence in my post. Teaching people to shoot doesn't start wars because it isn't the people who will have to do the shooting (and the dying) who start the wars, its politicians. Soldiers just get the blame.

  16. I read it.
Good luck attempting to educate sociopaths on the moral aspects of war. (I refer to politicians of course, not soldiers.)

  17. Europe for us, really got worse when we replaced Sir Terry Wogan with Graham Norton. We rarely took Europe seriously after that

  18. Looks like the Tory rats are jumping the sinking ship.
