  1. Sorry, maybe Saturday coming. :upyeah:

  2. Thank you. Going to look at it tomorrow. Apparently all the carbon bits have turned up (whatever all means). To be honest I'm tired of running bikes in of late but this one might be a little more enjoyable. :upyeah: Plus my GF said she'd help me out. She's cool

  3. i actually enjoyed running mine in,was good to get to know the bike without the temptation to pin the throttle,so busy at work i just cant find the time to take it for the first service.I bet you will be pissed off running it in as you must be used to full revs with your old 1299,i would be interested to know what they mean by carbon turned up ?,they should be all fitted to the bike from the factory, give it a good look over tomorrow as one of my calipers had a tiny scratch and is being replaced at first service.

  4. It will be difficult sitting at 6k for sure having like you said been able to give the previous bike some stick. Talking of throttles, I hope this one doesn't have the slack like my old one did. My 1199 had no slack whatsoever.

I'll find out today about the carbon. The reason I asked was because from that photo that they sent me, it had the standard pipes on. Hope the carbon hugger is included!

I'll certainly give it a good look over today. :upyeah:

  5. V nice ,, ( with proper exhaust and swing arm :grinning: )

    • Carbon hugger
    • Battery charger
    Still to arrive...
    • Aluminium tank plug? Whatever that is!
    • Carbon tail tidy.
    • Handlebar end weights
    Bike looks great :upyeah:

  7. I don't get how they can't supply the bike complete.

  8. Bit frustrating to be fair. Dealer said they received an email from Ducati saying they have some "supply" issues!

  9. But to supply the bike without handlebar end weights? What is the point?

  10. Wow! Must be a first!, you normally defend everything they do. Bad day?

  11. Ahh, to be fair to Ducati, there are the standard Bar end weights already fitted. The Anniversario comes with some black ones (possibly the DP ones) in addition to that of the standard. Bit like the Exhausts, rear hugger etc. You get the standard ones also. :upyeah:

  12. I think there is a lot of confusion about the so called missing bit's,i don't know of anyone actually getting the missing items from the sports pack, when the bike was released it was always going to be supplied with the akra, heelguards hugger and battery and charger,i think it was Ducati uk's wording on the website that confused the matter, that wording has now been changed. My supplying dealer copied and pasted the mentioned section of the web page and emailed it to Ducati.I hope these bits turn up but i am not expecting them to.

  13. Yeah, there is definitely some confusion. The UK website doesn't mention the Carbon Hugger, but mine has come with it. I think the confusion and rush to push information out into the market before the August shut-down made it all go awry.

Personally, I think what Ducati were trying to say was in addition to the standard Sport Pack which you can get for the 1199/1299 was -

The package includes carbon fibre covers for ignition switch and rear shock absorber, an adhesive carbon tank protector, a carbon sprocket cover kit, carbon heel guards for rider footpegs, an aluminium tank plug and a carbon and aluminium alloy number plate holder. Black handlebar weights, along with the charger for the new battery. I'm sure the Carbon Hugger was mentioned at some point on the website but it isn't included within the Sport Pack AFAIK.

The additional Race Pack was -

Akrapovic Pipes, Blanking Plates for the mirrors and number plate holder which makes sense I guess! If my assumption is correct, which is probably pushing it a bit, all I am outstanding is -

Ignition Cover, Bar End Weights, carbon and aluminium alloy number plate holder and the Aluminium tank plug.

Very happy with the bike though. Hopefully it will be sat in my garage this weekend. :):upyeah:

  16. Yeah, still has the slack in the throttle! God knows where this has come from as my 1199 didn't have it. Anyway, glad to get the bike home at long last. Felt smoother than my 1299S with standard pipes and not so lumpy low down the revs/speed. DP Tank Pad, Lower Rad Grille and Tail Tidy to put on (if and whenever that turns up).

  17. Did you get your blanking plates, picked mine up yesterday and no mention of the missing sports pack bits ,even tho i don't think they are included but the moment i buy a tail tidy they will turn up,i find the Akra's very loud and may put the baffle's in.Enjoy the bike :upyeah:

  18. it needs some 'tim' decals, and its good to go. It will be fascinating to see just how similar it is to your last 1299.
shame the termi badge is missing :(

  19. Yeah the blanking plates are in the box. :upyeah:

My dealer is in discussions with the area Rep, who in turn is talking to DucatiUK/Ducati regarding the website and the items people thought they were getting. Hopefully there will be a resolution soon. I understand Ducati UK appear to be on the purchasers side so it should turn out okay.

I've left the baffles out for the time being!

  20. I'm already noticing a difference in how the engine feels, but that will just be down to the Akra's and the remap for sure. Feels smoother and picks up better from lower rpm.
