True, any facts required a fair bit of digging on the part of the interested voter. *Factoids* though - there were plenty of those.
Lots of people failed to vote because they were totally turned off by the tone of the campaigns. Others didn't vote because they were totally confused and genuinely didn't know how to vote, which is very different from not caring. Of course some were apathetic but to claim all the non voters as supporters of the proposition is ridiculous.
read it again old rider "they dont care for what ever reason they dropped out" "their votes don't count" on your side. dont give loz any leeway. :smileys:
No disrespect to you buddy, but where is the proof of the things you claim? How do you know,or who told you,of the reasons people didn't vote? People who didn't vote may well have been convinced that the result would be the one they favoured, and therefore did not feel it was necessary to vote. You,nor I,nor anyone else will ever know, even if they tell you why you can not be certain they are telling the truth as to why they didn't,("every man is an island",etc). The only voting intention you can actually know about is you,or someone who filled out their postal vote while you watched. Sorry, but guesses/conjecture/imagination/forecasts/estimates/possibilities/generalisations/wishes are not facts.
To paraphrase that great philosopher and Parliamentarian: The only thing necessary for the triumph of Brexit is for stupid people to do nothing (on Referendum day).
My son didn't vote because he had no idea what it was about and didn't really care He will just go along with whatever happens Probably like many others don't forget there are people happy to go with the flow
i wonder now how all those really smart folk who permitted themselves to be exploited by the ruling political elite feel now that reality is setting in and they have been kicked in the teath..... i would say the real question now is just what Andy Cap et all are going to do ,, realising that they have all been duped.
dont see it myself, a few yobs looking for an excuse but 17mill on the street? nah, word is, there's enough people changed their position that if it was run again it would be an easy win for remain. such is to be expected with such an incompetent government running the show.
And so it begins... ordinary people start getting a kicking from May and her millionaire pals. State pension triple-lock should be scrapped, say MPs - BBC News
Incidentally, I wonder if the "quitters" on here think the Mail was right and the three judges deserve to be named, shamed and identified as "enemies of the people" ??
No. It was their job to interpret the law, which they did. It is the governments job to implement the will of the people.
deffo jv. one of the biggest criticisms from your side in an attempt to discredit mine is " see that snp, their only about process and constitution" (despite doing every thing to avoid the stats on devolved matters) shot them selves in the foot there no? :smileys:
