Met a man I hadn't seen in 25 years. In a bike shop, I was looking for oil and knew it's a family business and I wondered who would be there, the face, used to lap me every race. Yep, back in the day, good times. Am I doing the right thing, put a lid on enjoy the day, look back and smile, life, once a race, it was a memory lived today.
^ love your turn of phrase. Today and for the last month I now realise that hiatus hernia can't be ignored and it will just try harder and harder until it gets your attention. Can't help wondering when the fireworks stopped and almost wish I'd been awake to hear it out of curiosity, I wonder if it was like microwave popcorn?
Today I am taking my two eldest grandchildren (both 4yo) for their first ski lesson. The two youngest (2yo and a marauding 18 months old) will be tubing Can't wait
Kicked out this morning so the mrs could do some house work...Out the door sharpish. Can't complain. Other than I need to invest in some warmer kit... mx gloves not great, will have to ditch the dark visor too. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Chuffing cold just before 8:00 this morning when we left to meet up for a run down to Chichester. Cafe was warm and the breakfast too inviting so we waved 10 brave and hardy souls off whilst our breakfast was being cooked. Did a little detour on the way home so we have done 60 or so miles which is plenty. Got jobs now for this afternoon, wash the salt off both bikes, free up the front disc bobbins and give the front calipers a good clean. Andy
My son won two goldfish at the fair today and he brought them home in a plastic bag. He said I'm naming them "One" and "Two" . I asked "Why on earth are you naming them "One" and "Two" ? "Well, if one dies I've still got two"
Up and out early on the Goldwing this morning for breakfast just south of Royston and froze me bits off but it was bright and dry which was good. Not so good to find A507 covered in grit and salt.
Airport run done, that's the Czech part of the family gone for 6 weeks Just changed all the batteries on my remote alarm system, took a while but should last 3 years or more
Went over to see my dad (on the bike) as it is his 86th birthday today - he wasn't there as he had gone off to Totton to fly his model planes (indoors) and had forgot to tell me it had started for winter. Managed to track him down. Here is a picture of him and my mum setting off on their honeymoon (not sure what year but sometime in the 50's)
A highways agency warning on the radio said anyone travelling in icy conditions should take a shovel, blankets, sleeping bag, extra clothing, including a scarf, hat, gloves, 24 hour supply of food and drink, de-icer, rock salt, torch, safety triangle, tow rope, petrol can, first aid kit and jump leads. I looked a right twat on the bus this morning
350 Ariel red Hunter? Like this? Lovely bike. And all that money I've wasted on fancy aluminium panniers and Kreiga luggage. Only needed an old suitcase, a bag and some string. I feel a big girl's blouse now. Must try harder
just noticed today how all the beautiful, hot, sexy women drive those cute little cars. - which reminds me the MOT is due on the wife's transit
