Hi all Just bought a new 1229 Panigale S from Riders Bridgewater, 1st time owner of a Ducati. Was going to wait until after the NEC show before a new bike was bought, after a disaster ownership of a BMW S1000rr Tyco replica, was looking at a RSV4rf, R1M, or a 2017 S1000rr(but after previous experience with the Tyco thought F$$$ em !! ). Did some reviews and low an behold I bought a 1299 S !
Followed your plight on the s1000rr forum, I had the impression that BMW customer service were at the top of their game. I suppose every dealer & interaction is different. Anyway, welcome to the forum & enjoy the bike. It's much prettier than the beemer, even the tarty tyco one..
ok,, i love the Pnni,, but i was talking to a racer at the NW 200 last year,, he said the bmw was absolutlly fantastic,, was describing how he was on full lock just keeping the bike straight in a side wind at 150mph....... he was scottish..
Lives 2 miles from Dealership it was so right to buy the BMW for ease of servicing, purchased the Tyco without even seeing it. Awesome bike that I got on so well with, but turned out a disaster regarding the service, un-professionalism that you wouldn't believe, customer management skills so sadly lacking from head of sales !! But now time to move on here's hoping the 1299 S is every bit as awesome to ride as it looks.
