  1. Hi
I bought the MT09 Tracer when they came out, May 2015. Did 15000 miles on it, really liked it. I made the mistake of test riding a Multistrada, loved it, bought it! Just collected it, did about 100 miles so far, Im so impressed, bags of power, comfort etc.

  2. 15k - was it worth anything after? (could be another thread) but as soon as the miles start to clock up no one wants them....which i think is a bit shit as bike engines last just the same as a car engine, generally, in most cases. I did read some time ago that some traveller, long way round bloke, went round the world on his r1. Clocked up 80k on it, and when he got back to the uk just put it in for its normal service and carried on riding it. A lad here at my workplace bought a speed triple with 40k a couple of years back and its not missed a beat and is in really good condition.

  3. I know, Im in the car trade, a car with 15000 miles would be considered low mileage but a bike is different. I lost a fair bit on the Tracer, I wont buy a brand new bike again. Have to say though, I loved every mile on the Tracer, a real hoot to ride!

  4. Yeah - id buy a bike with high mileage as long as theres receipts to show that work has been carried out, i wouldnt even mind if its been done by the owner and not a garage, as long as its been done, if it needed it of course....

  5. Me too, you can save a fortune buying something with a few miles on it. My tracer was as new apart from a couple of stonechips, rode like new as well.
