899 Silver/chrome Ears

  1. I'd really like some chrome mirrors like I have on my car (Alfa Giulietta).

Was out for a ride today and the shitty plastic mirrors were bugging me. A quick google only brings up weird pointy ones. I'm after a similar shaped mirror as the original with or without indicators. Any ideas?

  2. If you absolutely have to do it, your best bet would be a chrome wrap.

  3. This is going to look very very Bradford spec in my opinion

  4. Silver ears are found on high end things like paganis and foxes.

  5. And Fiat 500's! ;)

  6. Chrome wrap on plastic gonna work?

  7. I'd say no personally.

Would be almost impossible to wrap a small odd shape mirror like the Pani ones imo and it'll likely show cast marks. Even if you could I doubt it would last.

    What about aftermarket mirrors?

  8. Yes, it absolutely would work. They will have wrapped much tighter more complicated items.

  9. Aftermarket ones are what I was talking about. If some existed I'd like to have a look and see what they were like.
The only decent ones I can find are carbon fibre and I don't care for that. And they arent chrome coloured anyway.

  10. My local guy does some amazing work. Would you say you could chrome wrap the rear wing on this?..... IMG_2755.JPG

  11. Who is the local guy that does your wrapping jolley?

  12. You could but you really shouldnt.

  13. Just a localish guy good mate of mine does alot of high end motors in the chrome wrap, but its in stirling lol
    TLC detailing
I think you would be able to wrap the mirrors also.

  14. Had my mirrors and side (plastic) vents wrapped on an evoque, lasted 2 years and had it jet washed weekly

  15. Yet chrome mirrors on a Ducati are a good idea?......

  16. This is a wind up yeah?

  17. I dunno man, the horrible plastic was bugging me. It's one of the only things you can see while riding the damn thing. The only options I see are carbon fibre, which seems excessive, cause I don't care about the weight of the mirrors.

  18. Take them off and put blanking plates on then.
Think carbon would look a lot better than chrome. I think they would stand out even more than they do already.

  19. And Saxo's with big exhaust's
