Swing arm stripped and ready for powder coat after attacking with a heat gun, really makes a massive difference in shifting bearings. Few other bits for powder coaters too.
Oh, and Mr Old Boy Engineer is going to decat the link pipe for me. Might chuck the end can at him too......
Theres a thread on here by dorsetdesmo on making a termi out of a std can. Not an easy job from what he said.
on the oxygen bottle , ( ok , i know it wont unless the tubes or regulator are leaking but ) his saftey glasses wont do him much good if that goes up !!
Wheels, swimgarm, and various other bits now at powder coaters. Looking like I had the wrong spacer in the SA hence why it was such a bitch to get out. If I didn't have @kingfisher old SA I'd never have known and would have been almost impossible to refit. Fancy angle tyre valves ordered and bearing fitting tools. Will order new bearings all round once a few eBay bits sell as I'm broke.

Deep clean going nice, engine coming up nicely. Bearings arrived. Been chatting to dad about the spraying and not sure about waiting till spring to paint so may put fairing back on as is.
Did some cleaning, bits coming up nicely. Engine paint is pretty good but needs a little touched in. Now waiting on the decat centre pipe, hopefully back this week, so I can clean up the pipes while waiting for the powder coaters.
When I did a similar cleanup on my 916 a few years back I used a couple of long quarter inch drive extentions with a uj on the end rather than a spanner to undo the nuts on the rear manifold. If this doesn't work a decent 10mm ratchet spanner may work?
