haha, we still have no clue what cause the problem... Anyway here is an update Dealer opened up air manifold and found no leakage, test ride ok looks like the result is what I expected. Bike will still be there for a while because they are now checking the 2nd issue : rattling noise come from dash. Oh, i found another guy with the same issue on his Panigale 1299 Same thing, his dealer say nothing wrong with the bike ...
Sounds like nothing and as if they don't believe there is anything. Assume they have seen your videos?
hi! i was having the same problem with my multi, its 8months and 14000KM old now i was also having power loss and increased vibes when running at higher ambient temps ( above 35 C) to solve the second problem they did a special service and changed the air filter, cleaned and reset the O2 sensors, spark plugs and cleaned the throttle bodies with was done at about 10,000KM and the bike cutting off at low speed / coasting to a stop with clutch pulled in problem has disappeared hope it helps vikram
Yes, according to the dealer Hi Vikram ! Your dealer changed the air filter, cleaned and reset the O2 sensors, spark plugs and cleaned the throttle bodies at 10,000km and the stalled problem gone? Air filter changed to stock filter or 3rd party? Did they change the spark plugs?
hi! yes thats correct, it was stock filter, and new plugs the air and fuel in india are not the best so. although I have been gradually loosing clutch fluid as well and every month or so if i bleed the clutch system i get some air bubbles in the pipe so i just do this regularly while ducati are sorting out what to do both happened around the same time so can't conclusively say which have solved the problem regards
Sorry, i'm a bit confused now. You mean the clutch fluid problem might be one of the reasons ? How did they solve the loosing clutch fluid problem? They replaced the stock filter with a new one (OEM)?
haha sorry, the clutch problem remains unsolved, but because I am bleeding the clutch every 10 days or so and toping up oil it may have stopped the stalling on account of clutch remaining engaged when pulled in causing the stall at slow speed but i don't know which of the two actions i.e. changing the air filter etc or keeping the clutch system air free solved it hope that clears it up vikram
How often you have the stalling issue? Like once a week? I don't think the clutch fluid would cause the bike to stall intermittently
there were good and bad days, some times it didnt happen for a week then a few time in a day but fairly regularly for the first 5 to 6 months. Ya I guess if its the clutch causing it it should be every time but who knows i am just glad its gone
Bike horizontal O2 sensore replaced, I collected the bike today. Guess what? The bike stalled again after rode for 4-5km away from dealer.... After dinner, on the way home it died again I caught the 2nd one on video
This must be so annoying for you! Identical to the issue I used to have on my single spark model, cutting out as you are coasting to a junction with the clutch pulled in. Can't remember if you have changed the kill switch, but I think my problem went away after this was done.
yes, definitely i'm running out of patience. Today went back to dealer, they removed the exhaust valve and rode for 40km no stalling issue
Update : Dealer replaced air intake temperature sensor last Saturday. Rode for 200km and it stalled again today
update: bike back to dealer they claim that the ECU might be damaged by the camera I installed on the bike. X1F_V-SYS 2CH FHD Motorcycle camera, C3/C6/S6/X1F Motorcycle DVR, Truck DVR original manufacturer I wired the power line to ignition fuse and battery ground. Dealer claim that the dash black out when they running test on the bike and a quick check on the camera module show that it's been shorted. any expert can explain is it possible to cause damage to ECU in this situation?
Not an expert but if you short it and it's on the same line then I could see how it could damage an ecu. Of course, if dealer were amenable, way to check would be replace ecu and give it a few rides. Given that it happens almost every ride for you it won't be long before 100% yes/no problem.
Btw why could you not use the power that's tapped off already flhs or the din plug at the front of the din or USB under the seat?
I thought there is ignition fuse to protect the system? Stalling problem happen since day one. I installed the camera after riding it for two months The bike runs like normal after removed the connections, stalling problem still there. I dunno how to convert the power lines into into din plug/USB
As fyi, there is a power lead airways fitted flhs with both male/female connectors. You just need to remove one bit and solder in your wires and you have power based on ignition position
