  1. Are you addressing me?

  2. You are the forum deity

  3. Very kind, but I don't believe in deities.

  4. :)

  5. My 2012 did the same "groaning" when wet. Like the groan of the zombie undead. So badly a woman pulled her son back from a pedestrian crossing once upon hearing it.
The look on her face was priceless.

I binned the pads, rotors & calipers soon thereafter anyhow on my upgrade project.

  6. Well, good old coppaslip seems to have done the trick, all the better that I managed to keep it of the pad material as well...I'm sure a few wet rides around Norfolk may wash a bit of it off, but for now things are good.

  7. I've had the same issue with my 65 plate DVT.
    Removed the calipers:

    Dead easy:
1 simply slacken off the pads by carefully pushing the pistons on the inner pad back into the caliper ( these can be accessed from the top of the caliper)
2: Undo the two allen bolts holding the caliper in place then carefully slide the caliper out from the disc.

I cleaned and coppa slipped the pads where they contact the caliper and also cleaned the caliper with brake cleaner then wiped clean.

I also used some scothcbrite pad to clear both faces of both discs as the bike had been sat for about a week after a wet run.

put it back togther and hey presto no moore low speed squeals.

When they come back I'll repeat the 45 min process

  8. Just had new pads fitted to mine, and still does it. (3200 miles btw, I did 10k on the last multi before needing pads)

  9. Copper grease between the pistons and the back of the pads sorted it out on mine.

  10. Its caused by dirt collecting at the bottom of the pads after a ride, so i am told. i was advised to rinse the calipers with hot water after returning from a ride.

  11. Changed to brenbo sc pads silent , then changed to ebc he pads in the wet it's embarrassing back to brembos for me . My experience is its the pad / disk combination

  12. My 16 plate dvt s makes a grumbling type noise at low speed only during light braking, I fixed by riding more aggressively and braking harder endo style!!

  13. Linky to the brembo pads please :)

  14. Bloody hell, have you seen the difference in the price between the DVT and the DVT s model :Woot:

  15. That's the downside to M50 calipers. the up side is they are the best calipers out there.

  16. Hello guys.

Reviving this post for a sec to see if anyone else has the same issue.
I have the new 1260 GT with 1.000 km (bought it at 800 km) and I have noticed that the break are really "squiky" when coming to a stop. Anyone else with the 1260 noticing this?

The dealership told me that many 1260 owners are reporting this and there isnt any point in changing the pads at this stage because it will have the same result.

    Cheers.

  17. As previously stated it is a build up of dust causing it. It is not a fault nor doing any harm. In fact when in town it’s a good warning to others, they always hear it!

  18. Yes my 1260s has done it from new, only hear it when slowly coming to a stop, does it when im moving the bike around. It sounds like a high spot on one of the front disks, not had time to investigate it any further. I have done about 1000miles

  19. If the bike has not been used for a while, before you bought it, then this can also make the squeek worse.
If you remove the callipers, push the pistons back and remove the pads then clean and apply a little copperslip grease to the rear of the pads and the edges where is touches the callipers it will solve the problem.
DON'T get the grease on the pads though!!!
