  1. I ran out of credit once and by chance one of the guys from work was passing by as I was stuck at the side of the road he left me with his bless him
I very rarely had a problem with signal and always made sure I was fully charged
    I'm mostly prepared Luca

Oh I forgot debit card for coffee

  2. That's what the lip gloss is for!!!

She put's that on and flutter's her eye lashes at passing car's till someone comes to her rescue.....

Or she could plug the USB lead into your laptop.

  3. It don't work fluttering your eyes
Many bikes and cars passed me by in 2 hours 
Only one bike stopped and that was another duke

Lip gloss was for the wobbly mirrors 

  4. Never ever put lip gloss on whilst riding a Ducati....with our mirrors you'd end up looking like the joker.

  5. Anth I have been known to put lip gloss in while driving 
Not easy riding the duke makes a right mess on the visor
Bit like trying to scratch your nose.

We are deviating from the tool roll here

  6. Yeah to keep the thread on track....what your saying is you'd have some wipes to clean the lip gloss off your visor in your tool roll too.

I think Steve has already given up with all the p*ss taking earlier.

  7. Hey great idea
What about hand wipes for oily hands
and a polishing cloth for those bonding moments 

  8. Yeah.....

Polish the helmet while I wait for the recovery man.

I wonder if I'd be in trouble for that!

  9. Lmao there's a picture ...

  10. Top tip...
Two things I always have with me, on the bike or in the car...
RAC card and cheap pay-as-you-go mobile phone : fully charged and switched off. For extra security have it on a different network to your usual phone.
Mine is an "old school" Nokia 1101. The battery stays charged for months and it has a built-in torch. It has proved its worth on more than one occasion when my new "gadget phone" failed due to flat battery, lack of signal etc...

  11. Tobacco, papers, filters and a box of matches... Oh, an a emergency £20 stashed away incase you card is stuffed. Job done.

In all seriousness, I normally carry around in the TINY boot of either the 748/1098S is:

10 pack of smokes (I'm a heavy smoker and being stranded without smokes is a smokers fear! haha)
    Matches
    £20 note
    Multi tool
Spare phone battery and PAYG SIM
    Mini first aid kit
    Mini bottle of juice

All of the above squeezes into the first aid back which is waterproof, aside from the multi tool which sits outside the bag.

I have been stranded, or helped stranded people before, the £20 and smokes has come in very handy on many occasions!

Gone out on a ride, remembered my wallet is in my jacket at home 80 miles into the trip... Smokes, I normally stop for stranded bikers and the amount that have said "do you have a smoke?" haha. Relentless.

  12. Stopped for a chap the other day he was pushing a HD run out of gas, I've now added a length of plastic tube for siphoning.

  13. Someone gave me some visor wipes, I managed to fit a couple under the 916 seat (that's about all that will fit) but when I came to use one it had dried out due to the heat under there...

  14. Well to be honest I was fairly sure we would deviate. Good crack all

    Regards Steve
