?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  3. I love Scotland, it's a great country with huge potential within the U.K. I even like the Scots when one of the thieving toads stole my spare alloy from under the car when we last visited. A quick trip down the legion with a few relie's who are locals put the word out though and it was back the next day :grinning:

The one question I can't seem to shake

At the moment the snp teeth grinders accept no responsibility for how the snp has been in power for years but are awful at running government but they always have the fall back when challenged " we are fed up of being ruled by a distant government"

So you are part of a union where you feel one country in it tells you what to do, so you want to leave that to join an organisation even further away where 27 countries can tell you what to do?

  4. It was a compliment really - an Anglo-Saxon thing. You could be right about the cider. Its true in Somerset. Could be worse. In Scotchland drinking distilled ale in women's clothing is hereditary.

  5. which in real terms is still 10%? 12%? less than it was in 2010. and still doing an awful lot with it. including mitigating the bedroom tax. yip. totaly incompetent.
36 pages with 10 story's a page on brexit in holyrood magazine noobie. just how did i find the time

  6. and if youd have said boreal forest I would have know wtf you were talking about as I speak English not Russian...

  7. (I wouldn't have but thanks for the link):upyeah:

  8. Unbelievable isn't it ?

  9. but that aint how we see it. some do most dont. the EU has control of 1% of your gdp. makes laws that create a level playing field including many others. its not so much telling us what to do, its more to do with telling us to do the wrong thing (in our eyes). lets put this 800mill in to perspective

guess what figures are included in GERS? so called 15bill deficit.

  10. Fair point fin but rather a missdirect. The £800 million was ontop of the money Scotland already gets, but as you've mentioned the houses of parliament

It not only houses the lords and the mp's but 4 unions mp's, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. It is also not only the historic building for the U.K. but is considered the home of modern democracy and the Palace is now a Grade I listed building and, with Westminster Abbey and St Margaret’s Church, forms part of the UNESCO Westminster World Heritage Site. The oldest part was built in 1099

It has been neglected year on year. You mention the £400 million and given the British and world importance this building holds, you clearly feel £400 million is an outrage?

Can I ask what are your feelings on the Holyrood building which cost £414 million to build?Even more so when the Welsh assembly building only cost £70 million

  11. You are wrong on your figures by a factor of ten.
The Houses of Parliament will cost 4 BILLION pounds not 400 MILLION
If you are going to make comparisons it would help your argument if you took the time to get the numbers right. Finm was even kind enough to post a picture with £4000m written on it

  12. interesting that a whole argument can be based on a miss print / typo

  13. Your right of course Shadow I had missed the extra zero.

The 4 billion estimated cost quoted is just that, an estimate so far.
There are suggestions however it could be as low as £1bn,

One of the reasons committee members think it could come in under budget is that the work could be made exempt from VAT. They think it is silly to charge the levy, given that it will be state money that would go back to the Treasury. I suppose until the project is finished no one will know the true cost.

I wonder as if you've joined in, which I appreciate, Can I ask what are your feelings on the Holyrood building which cost £414 million to build?Even more so when the Welsh assembly building only cost £70 million?

  14. and a mere 1/2 m£ more than the single occupancy premises called Buckingham palace,, shocking.

  15. No comment on holyrood? then?

If only the Chinese had come to the U.K. government instead of the Scottish government, we could have had £10 billion to pay for everything :)

  16. have you ever been in it ?

  17. yip. another labour decision/cock up.
no mention of the 1mill plus our 56 has saved in the first year at westminster despite being there more often, taking part in more debates. on more committees? you know, all the childish tit for tat stuff?.

  18. What has that to do with the cost?

  19. i was just wondering , as it might give you some grounds for considering whither it was worth the cost.

  20. I do know what you mean and sometimes I wished they had just one mp for each county and no lords. Even then though the older historic buildings would still need refurbishment from time to time
