Greetings all, thanks for the add. I'm new to Ducati's but not Forums (fora?). I picked up a very nice 1998 ST2 with low mileage a couple of weekends ago for very reasonable money and after a new battery and starter repair I am enjoying it immensely. I was won over to the idea of a Duc by some friends in France who now have a collection of them and the ST2 seemed a good useable and fun all rounder. I'm definitely more tourer than pure sports bike rider but wanted something a bit more nimble then my BMW K1100rs for local jollies. The ST2 is certainly ticking that box! I look forward to learning an hopefully contributing to the Forum as I get to know my way around the new machine.
Thanks for the Welcome. Plans are for a new chain and sprocket, replacement scotoiler and a headlamp upgrade/replacement with the help of Mr T. (not the A team guy!). The Givi luggage might get replaced if I can find an original set in my budget.
