If I had the money id get outta the country just to ensure I don't get roped into doin anything! No. It was very pleasant. A good bottle. But honestly? When you compare the price and effort of keeping it (well, not that much effort but you have to be patient) to a lot of less prestigious wines, you can see that you are paying well over the odds for the reputation of Bordeaux. There are some truly stonking French wines to be had in their hypermarchés. Very little crap indeed and an awful lot of good stuff at the €5 mark. A bottle of Beycheville, or a case of those? I know which I'd sooner have.
Very much a slip of the trackpad. I've corrected it. All power to you and your generosity with your time.
Part of my buying strategy In those days was ' does it have a nice label ' and is it less than £5 (equivalent). I had a remarkably high success ratio of success with those criteria.
I got a NIP sent to my works email address 82mph in a 25mph speed limit zone. Blimey I must have been smacked off my tits on Lempsip that day cos I can't even remember getting out of my sick bed and getting in the car that day.
Mum just said get something from the Loire - £250 spent in Pidou gets you a free crossing so just got cheap and cheerful Each year I keep saying I must plan ahead but never do ! A few special bottles for the Christmas table - well still under a £10 but no idea if any good !
Thank you for that. Now because of you I've got bloody Meatloaf, You're a dead ringer going through my brain . Seriously though, good luck with that. Andy
My mate asked me today "What's your favourite mythical creatures"..??? "All those happy women in the Tampax adverts"
How bizarre is that? A large butterfly just showed up in my kitchen. I know it was a butterfly and not a moth, because when it settled on me it had its wings together. It's pretty damned odd because: There are no windows open It's about 0° outside - which is why there are no windows open. Because it had its wings shut, I couldn't get a good handle as to what sort of butterfly it was. Well, it couldn't stay here, so I put it outside, but I can't think it'll last long. It's no time for a butterfly and there is nothing to eat. Quite sad.
