last year yes, if I put it back to standard and put the money towards an R. But life changes and now I have a reservoir I want to buy waiting for @finm to lend be the money :Nailbiting:

I've owned both: a new 998S back in 2002 and my current bike is a 996.

I sold my 998S in fury at Ducati reliabliltiy (I got a Friday bike, off road for 5 months - brand new! - JHP had to strip engine down to find the scored bores... and then a week later the clutch failed and stranded me again...).

Swore never again, but after 10 years of resistance I gave in after I kept thinking about my amazing track experiences on her at Almería and other places... They are to die for when they are working well!

So when I bought my 996 I gave the engine top a rebuild, and suspension overhauled. Called a Full Monty, to Grunter Spec (new cams and lightened flywheel I think), developed by Sigma Performance and then Snells took over the concept. @PGP can do them - he's ex Snells and did mine.

So another option is get a 996 or 916 and have this done... even a 998 is getting on by now!

It's a beauty - if it's still for sale in spring I might try and acquire the Reservoir Dogging establishment for sure :smileys:
