  1. okay, let's run a sweep. What faults do you think the 950 will have that Ducati couldn't be arsed to sort out before this new bike release?

  11. Well gents - I traded my Triumph Tiger 800 XRX for a MTS 950 and absolutely love it. Done over 1k miles now with no problems so far. Don't see much of a problem power wise either when in sports mode. Plenty fast enough. Comes highly recommended from me.

  12. Good to hear that you are enjoying the 950.

  13. Had a Multistrada 1200 TS test ride the 950 bought a 1200 DVT the 950 is a good bike it's a bit like skimmed milk looks like the real think but lacks something

  14. I'd be interested to know what else you compared the Tiger 800 with before choosing the Multi?

(re the sweep - how about leaking clutch slave cylinder?)

  15. Well I've a fully sorted 1200 (decat, remap etc) and when I rode the 950 as a courtesy bike I was mightily impressed with the engine.
Having ridden a Hyperstrada with the same engine I thought the extra weight in the Mutley might have dummed down performance but not a bit of it! Loved it!
Okay you can tell where they've saved the money but I felt I was exploiting more of the bikes potential than I do with mine.
Trouble is...I like the toys and the 950 is a bit basic. Pity they don't do an S version.

  16. Didn't look at anything else. I did still like the Tiger but fancied a change after having had it for 2 years. I also have a Thruxton R, so fancied a Ducati for having something a bit different in the garage. Test rode the 950 and loved it - it was a done deal after that.

  17. What's the Thruxton R like?

  18. The 950 is overpriced as it is to up the spec would only make it more overpriced .
Would rather buy a year old 1200 DVT all the warranty problems should be sorted by then

  19. Its absolutely awesome. Had more people commenting and liking it than any other bike I've had in the past.
