Knee prevented play for the Ducati today, so got in the car and headed out around some local Buckinghamshire villages. These were Castlethorpe, Haversham and Little Linford.

my first attempt at nightime light photos...

 

Playing with exposure and shutter speed.

Its the camera, I haven't done any post shot processing and it needs straightening

 

just got back from Indonesia Diving...playing with a "Prism" to deflect light from a torch, worked really well

 

what about your ISO ?? have you tried cranking that up ??

Dug the tripod out yesterday and gave it a whirl. Poor lenses don't help, but messed about with 'the exposure triangle' lol

So I learned.
Bright = low ISO and high F
My lenses are crap
Even if it looks in focus in the eye glass, it isn't
My lenses are crap
I don't understand the settings on my 350d
My 350d is 8 years old

 

iPhones are remarkably good. This is from a 6. Mirissa beach in Sri Lanka.

 

I had one, good camera
try on Tri-pod 1/50 f8 iso 600 and go from there (no flash)
ps high F = lower number for some reason? so bright would mean use a low number which is actually a high number so f22 is lower than f8 !!!f8 would let in more light than f22
