Hello everybody, Frenchy, live near Glasgow.. was a proud owner of a 696 Monster for a day, white pearl one ... bought it a friday and on the way home saturday morning a woman rear hit me, .... insurance write off the bike and 2 1/2 months later I m still waiting my money.. A friend of mine is a "Druid" in Corsica, told me on the phone to never buy a car/bike... on a friday, told me it s bad luck. Wished he told me that earlier... Anyway, loved this Ducati so much that I will buy a 796 Monster next time, not a friday, that s sure. If you will have one for sale under 5k miles, let me know please, but not before january. Have some good holidays everyone and Happy end of year.
Thx guys, 2 easy, not in Aberdeen, took a flight, went down to Southampton, was enjoying the ride up by small roads. The woman/driver took some points from the police and some lesson too, reckless driving...
Yikes, sorry to hear that. This is my neck of the woods, so I feel partially responsible and apologise on behalf of Hampshire. Thanks for passing on the advice about Fridays... I bought a bike that was made on a Friday, and that's also to be avoided!
Hope you have better luck with your next Monster. Make sure you spray the metalwork with ACF50 as the roads have lots of salt over Winter in the UK and causes horrible corrosion if not protected. Happy biking in 2017. Some great roads in Scotland but beware of the locals.....
Reminds me of the day I dropped a zzr600 on the day I finished running in and a woman driver drove over it wrote it off and I had to buy her a second hand wheel from a scrap yard along the road.
Well that was a great start to owning a Ducati May your next one serve you well In red Welcome into the mad house
bad news, I feel your pain, and can understand why you call her a Salut. Its nearly new year, and hope your money isnt far away
That's the thing about a Ducati.... Maybe the girl was trying to meet you and thus made contact [emoji6]
Satire from my side on Ducati ownership. Light hearted. But, on a serious side if that is your thing, it has been known to happen although 2 cars playing the game is more appropriate. Did not meen to offend.
