nope, but i did miss out on a v.cheep holiday to austin texas once. as you know (if you have been paying attention)i dont fly.
Drambuie...? i thought you only sold that to tourists. If I was having a festive dram in the swampy, midge-infested northern regions it would have to be Ardbeg or Coal Ila. Remove the Drambuie goggles and view Nippy in the cold light of single malt. It will do you good.
An interesting and insightful read here Fears Juncker's chief of staff Martin Selmayr could sabotage Brexit talks - Business Insider Hopefully the country will actually get behind the pm and support her on these negotiations, you need to whether you're a leaver, or remainer, English, Welsh, Scottish or Irish because it's the hand we've been dealt Junker isn't fairing too well politically at the moment and he and his right hand man Selmayr would rather make your life harder just to prove a point before he's gone. He's a despicable man who's got zero consideration for anything other than his pride and legacy
Thanks for the recommendation , although I have actually turned the barley in ardbeg distillery , ( and went to school there ) myself I prefer glayva , conisoures choice 〰Nic
It wasn't unreasonable to expect a few within the EU project to be childlike and be unhappy we didn't think their toy was worth playing with anymore. This was always the biggest fear of many who wanted out, not that they would try but more unelected beurocrats have been given keys to the madhouse. In pure monitary terms, the EU need us more than we need them. In everyday moving forward retaining co-operation terms, we both need each other As to Juncker, his days are numbered the minute Schultz said he was leaving the EU top table to go back into German politics. Honestly I suspect Merkel will be re-elected by a smaller majority and she will hoof out Junker. As to everything else. I am still suffering from ptsd with the image of fin in basque, stockings, crotch less nickers. clever , INFORMED and able noob and dirry dirry dirry. mm mm mmm whilst waiting for 2easy
I just cant stand Juncker, each and every time I've heard him speak about Britain over the years he does so with an obvious dislike of us.
It's fantastic news Noobs. The harder they want to play it, the quicker we get out. They are biting their nose off to spite there face. They should be looking for a win / win here, but their zeal for the federal project won't let them. It'll back fire on them if they go down this route. Big business and consumer power will spell the end of a couple of hard ball unelected bureaucrats.
I think this is where the real battle will be, not between us domestically but between the EU beaucrats and the remaining European elected governments. The governments know what real life is and know the pressures they are under. We are so intermingled that we all do need each other in different points at different times. What seems to have happened, if possible, is that the Germans have been out Germaned by the EU, Ya Ya it's my way or no way. That is where the real battlefield will be in the next 12 months after many domestic elections, the EU versus the European Governments.
Recent events have been very unhelpful and despite promising early signs, the punitive position taken, risks the train-crash Brexit. Merkel has also been trying to stop any behind the scenes discussions between the German auto industry and London passporting rights. It defies belief that the EU would be prepared to harm it's economies and cause some of London's financial businesses to (mostly) move to New York, to Europe's ultimate disadvantage. I am confident that common sense will come to the table once European businesses start to lobby to protect their UK export business. Had a chat to a friend who runs a tool making business. One of his big customers is a French manufacturer who has recently been placing many more large orders than expected. The reason? Lower £ and therefore lower cost of tooling enabled French company to lower prices and win more work (against outside EU competition). Result = Good for UK and EU. Merry Christmas!
